Re: Terrell Owens out SEVEN WEEKS!!!
I was watching the game in the Sun Devil Stadium parking lot and must admit I found great pleasure in seeing the replay of his "unfortunate" injury.

Re: Terrell Owens out SEVEN WEEKS!!!
I would take TO over Moss any day of the week. Holt too. If you're going to have an egotistical mouth on the team, you might as well go with the best player. As much as TO likes to talk and showboat, performance is all that matters right?

You would take Owens over Holt?!! And the way you bash Martz and talk about his down falls and egotistical ways, but TO is ok??
Man I want some of what you are smoking.

Apparently, my sarcasm was lost on you. But, if we were playing Madden or could somehow take the showboating and antics out of the equation, yes, I would take TO over Holt. And the way you bash Martz and talk about his down falls and egotistical ways, but TO is ok??
Both like to talk about themselves, both have been known to drop passes, both are elite wr's but Owens is a cut above Holt in my opinion. Owens changes the dynamic of what a defense has to do against your offense. Holt is just a good wr. They're clearly on different levels. TO's gamebreaking ability is much higher than Holt's in my opinion.

A punk like owens deserves anything bad that happens to him. The Eagles however don't deserve it.

Re: Terrell Owens out SEVEN WEEKS!!!
If the Eagles do win it all, I hope its without TO. I'd hate to see him taking credit for their success.

Re: Terrell Owens out SEVEN WEEKS!!!
Okay, I'm not up on my TO trivia so you guys will have to fill me in on why he's so terrible? Granted, I couldn't stand him when he was a 49er but that goes without saying. Not that Philly's much better as far as teams that I dislike but what is it about TO that you guys hate so much?
I admit, I didn't used to be a TO fan, in fact I didn't like him. I likened him to Randy Moss. But after watching the NFL network's "In their own words" feature on him, as well as quite a few interviews this year, I have changed my opinion. I didn't like him for reasons that were incorrect. He's a loud mouth to be sure but as much as I don't like the antics, they really are harmless. Nothing more than showboating. And he backs it up with his performances on the field.
My instinct is still to not like him but the more I see and hear from him the less I feel that way. He's not really an a-hole, like Moss, and he's one of the best wr's in the game.Last edited by moklerman; -12-21-2004 at 02:37 AM.

Re: Terrell Owens out SEVEN WEEKS!!!
I wasn't a big fan of TO's calling Garcia gay and making fun of him on his website.

Re: Terrell Owens out SEVEN WEEKS!!!
Did you go to TO's website? I didn't even know he had one. I knew those two were always bickering so it's not a big surprize. I admit, as bad as it is to judge someone that way, that I've always assumed Garcia to be gay. I don't really care one way or the other but I definitely got that impression.
Of course, I also found out that he's married to the Playmate of the Year so he must be doing something right.
Okay, other than TO picking on a 49er/Browns qb what don't people like? I only ask because when I sat down and really thought about what I didn't like about him I couldn't really come up with much.

Throwing tantrums on the sideline because he's not getting the ball?

1. The Garcia comments --- he's a punk for publicizing a personal argument

4. The general arrogance he displays in his interviews --- he's (and a large number of wide receivers) a punk for putting himself ahead of the team
5. The screaming at his coach stunt --- he's a punk for doing that in the open, save it for closed door meetings
There's probably others, but this was just off the top of my head."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
