Thank you DeSpags
Thank you DeSpags for rebuilding the core of this team.
Thank you Spags for coaching one of most prolific defense this franchise had since the Fearsome Foursome days.
Thank you Spags for curing the cancer that was in the locker room during the Martz and Linehan era.
Thank you Spags for not letting the players quit on you in these tough times.
Thank you Spags for willing to coach this team when it was one of the worst in history.
Thank you Devaney for making the jump on drafting our franchise QB.
Thank you Devaney for drafting a solid foundation in the 1st-4th rounds as well as the undrafted free agency, something the previous regime is incapable of.
And most importantly, thank you DeSpags for putting this team in position of a winning culture despite not grasping into that opportunity.
I wish both of you the best of luck wherever you land.

Re: Thank you DeSpags
Then I guess I'm negative for saying the Rams defense isn't that good. (Which it isn't)
And no, the 2011 Rams defense is not the best Rams defense in 30 years.

Re: Thank you DeSpags
As I read this, I wondered how long it would take for the thread to spiral into negative comments. I guess the answer is "not long at all." Kudos flip, for at least trying to reflect on some positives, however, ahem "bold" some of them may be.

Re: Thank you DeSpags
A very classy post.
I wish Spags and Billy D. nothing but the best of success in the future. They did some good things while here, and brought in some names that will be impact players for years to come.
Ultimately, everyone is hired to be fired and after this season, the team decided to make that move. However, I won't overlook some of the good the two did both for the furure of the team and in the community.
Thanks gentlemen. Best in your future endeavors.

Re: Thank you DeSpags
Dear Flip,
thanks for taking time to point out some areas we should all look back on once new coach is here and producing results in a winning way. The foundation is better then it was 3 years ago and with the right leadership, we will be at least 8-8 next year. look at Whiners......singletary was not good HC but help set up strong foundation for Harbaugh. i look for similar thing here for Rams.

Re: Thank you DeSpags
People forget all the good that Spags and Devaney have done for this franchise. From most peoples standpoint, a bad season means that they did EVERYTHING wrong.

Re: Thank you DeSpags
Let me add that Spags and Devaney were responsible for getting the Rams out of the lunacy of John Shaw and his merry band of cheapskates who hurt the franchise except for the GSOT years.
I too wish them well in whatever the future holds for them.
Go Rams!

Re: Thank you DeSpags
I'd love to thank Spags and Devaney as well. Classy guys who did nothing but make me more proud of our oganization. They have definitely put together some nice pieces for Jeff. He can come here, finish the puzzle, and lets get this thing rolling.
