.... and then what happened? (the "Olson effect")
We remember it all too well. The Rams are shutout against the Panthers, with Steven Jackson getting the ball handed to him only 7 times. The outcry was fierce (SLOP was born that day), and Linehan himself acknowledged that he needed to pass the playcalling duties on to Greg Olson.
So what happened next?
In the final six games of the season, Steven Jackson had the following per game averages:
Rushing: 25 carries, 119 yards
Receiving: 6 receptions, 54 yards
He also scored 11 TDs over that 6 game span.
Looking forward to more of the same on Sunday.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: .... and then what happened? (the "Olson effect")
You've got that right AV. For those Panther fans thinking they'll see a repeat of last season, they're in for a big disappointment. Nothing's ever a sure thing, but if Jackson gets his carries, and Bulger gets time to setup and throw, I'll be very surprised if we don't put up 20+ points on them. Panther fans only saw a snapshot of our season and our team, and it wasn't a very good picture. What we really are now, offensively, is not what they remember us as.

We all know they are capable of repeating that feat. My only question is will the offense be ready, or will we see a repeat of last season with a slow start.
