Is there anyone who still thinks....

Is there anyone who still thinks that the coach hasn't lost this football team. Another week,Another Fiasco. We are the laughing stock of the league right now and its time to move on. The players are just not buying into anything Linehan is selling. Did you see Bulger talking to Linehan with a smirk. They all know he is a lame duck at this point. Let's just get it over with and get on with starting to rebuild this teams confidence.

I'm in, Haslett, the team is your's; promote Ellard to OC; dust off the old playbook.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about Linehan, after today it would probably be safe to say he is in deep trouble.

I didn't want it to come to this, but once you lose the players, your done.

He's done... I have listened to and advocated the "injury bug" theory. I don't care if you take the field with all rookies, this season, inexcusable.

Hell, why not? What do we have to lose by doing that? This season is already shot to hell...

I was hoping he would be better than this, but his play calling has really left me puzzled. I know there has been a LOT of injuries, but come on there is no fire or risk in the man what so ever! Bill Cowher HC, Jim Haslett DC, Henry Ellard as OC and Jackie Slater as O Line Coach....

Re: Is there anyone who still thinks....

The defense isn't Awesome....It's much improved under Haslett. The Defense has given up at times due to the lack of belief in what the offense can do. They have quit in more than one game when it has become painfully obvious that the coaching staff isn't getting anything out of the offense. They too can see yhat the playcalling is lacking and if you think they are still behind Linehan ...you are nuts. They are improved as a result of Jim Haslett. Period. But even the D has thrown in the towel late in games. There isn't anyone on this team coming out in support of Linehan. NOT ONE GUY....DEFENSE INCLUDED! If this team was in coach's corner, don't you think someone....anyone would come out and say dont blame the coaches...we are blowing it every week?? Funny but I don't see 1 of 53 guys saying that. Face it.....these players just don't believe this coach can get them back on track.

At this point? Wait until the Rams are 0-11 and staring at the only game they should win, at home vs. the Falcons. If they lose that game they very well could go 0-16. At any rate we'll have the #1 or #2 draft pick. That's a reality. This mess is gonna get worse before it get's better.

Re: Is there anyone who still thinks....

Look, I'm not getting into the speculation of who or what is to blame, but at this point it's irrelevant. The plain fact is, the team has lost any edge they may have started the year with. In that case, cutting players here and there won't be the answer (though, I do support the unemployment of Terrell). Somebody has to take the fall now, and it will most likely be Linehan. I would not be surprised to see the post-bye roster look like this:

    HC - Haslett
    OC - Olsen
    DC - Venturi

Then in the offseason, the search begins anew.
"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Is there anyone who still thinks....

As I said in another thread....Linehan is gone. I vote to bring in Marty Schottenheimer as a bona-fide HC. Haslett could stay as DC, but we need a complete sideline coaching overhaul. Most likely a new HC will put in his own people. Our last true HC was Dick Vermiel and look what he did for us! Martz and Linehan are over-promoted coordinators.

I'm tired of being the doormat of the NFL. I will bet even the Falcons are looking toward a win when they play us. I hope the FO moves quickly to begin the "Delineification" process now!

    Go Rams!
