    It's whoever is open, and it's the best thing to happen for a long time. The Eagles' style of WCO is perfect for getting someone open, whether it's RandyMac up the middle, or him drawing off the coverage in the middle for a slant route from the outside to be open, Bulger will have a quick look and between the "Teens", RandyMac or Jax, someone will either be one on one or the zone will open for someone and in that short range(5 yards), Bulger can kill with his accuracy.

    I can see what the voters for "whoever is open" mean & I hope for diversity as well but I think Randy will be the bread & butter target.

    With hopefully homerun speed & power at WR and RB that defenses will have to respect and an O-line & FB who can pick up a blitz, that territory in the middle needs to be reclaimed by Rams TEs.

    Burton is your go to man on 3rd and 6. He has the hands.

    W.I.O. = fundamental planning on 'third and 6'. Indeed, it is always great to have a designated receiver but equally important is to have the 2nd option. A 3rd possible receiver is a luxury, be it a safety valve (RB) or other.

    Hey, I have the feeling that our receiving possibilities are going to improve in 2009!

    The answer is whoever is open. I don't want Bulger throwing to Avery who is covered, completely missing out on an open McMichael. We don't want that. The answer is whoever is open.

    However, if I had to choose a specific target, it'll be McMichael or Jackson.

    I would like to see Avery become the go to guy, but in this situation I would have to say any one open.

    Jackson will lead the team in receptions.

    That wouldn't shock me. I think Avery will lead the team in receiving yards, and possibly TDs, but Jackson could definitely be the receptions leader.

    Agreed, Av. In 2006, Jax has 90 receptions and was close to 1000 yards on the season, I believe. And Marshall got over 1000 a couple times as well. I don't see any reason why he couldn't reproduce 2006 or Westbrook like numbers in this offense, even more so because he's a bigger, stronger back.

    But yes, Avery most likely will be the 80 catch, 1100-1250 yard guy who leads the team in yards and TD's, but not in catches.

    JMO:

    Avery = 60 catches for 800 yards
    Jackson = 80 catches for 700 yards
    #2 WR = 40 catches for 500 yards
    everyone else = 60 catches for 500 yards.

    2500 yards? That would be the lowest amount of passing yards since 1986.

    That's an extremely gloomy picture.

    Every year I tend to have extensive excitement about the Rams around now. Looking at this team, I just don't see much. After Steven Jackson, this offense is extremely sub-par at the skill positions and has nothing for depth.
