Thomas: Jackson, Amendola Don't Practice
Jackson, Amendola don't practice
3 hours ago • By Jim Thomas
A lot of the Rams' offensive production watched in sweats Wednesday as they began the practice week in preparation for Sunday's game against Arizona. Namely, their leading rusher and two of their three top pass-catchers.
Running back Steven Jackson, who tweaked his foot late in the New York Jets' game did not practice. Coach Jeff Fisher said Jackson was being rested, an indication that the injury isn't serious.
Also not practicing were wide receiver Danny Amendola (foot) and tight end Lance Kendricks (knee), who are first and third respectively on the team in catches this year.
Kendricks hobbled off the field late in the Jets' game but said he merely bumped his knee and would be fine.
Amendola's status looks more questionable for the Arizona game since he was wearing a walking boot.
Linebacker Mario Haggan (dislocated elbow), who's expected to miss a few weeks, also did not practice.

In his first practice since being placed on the active roster, center Scott Wells worked with the starting unit and said he hopes to start Sunday. With Wells back at center, Rob Turner is working at left guard.

Linebacker Jabara Williams has been signed to the practice squad, filling the spot created when tight end Cory Harkey was promoted to the active roster. Williams was a seventh-round draft pick by the Rams in 2011 out of Stephen F. Austin, who appeared in two games for the team last season in late October.

This is a huge upgrade...we get a pro bowl center and Turner at guard. This Sunday we will get a look at the closest thing to our starting line all year! Sam should be clean after this game.

Didn't Jabara Williams play for the bears last year?

Turner if they slide him over to guard should not be a that big of a change he has berm playing. Wells is a vet and a bowl pro player he should not have nay issues. Rodger Saffold came back his fist week and did not give a one pressure and has played very good so far. That being said they will need a few games to get some continuity. But it should be an upgrade of two positions with the return of wells.
