Re: Thoughts on Marshall

The great Marshall Faulk has moved on. He looks like a comfortable man seated at the NFL Network booth on NFL Total Access and before games along with Deion Sanders, so I don't know why he would want to come back and play for the Rams knowing that he wouldn't get much playing time, after we seen what Jackson could truly do this past season. Granted, we do like to run the ball (as we've all noticed lately), but Faulk is way past his glory days, and hasn't touched a football in God knows when.

Re: Thoughts on Marshall

There is no role left on the team for an over the hill Marshall..He was an unbelievable player but is way past his prime..Those Faulk memories will live long in the memory though..:l

Re: Thoughts on Marshall

Man I don't care what any of you say, RB group of Jacson, Davis and Faulk would be crazy. Marshall's knees wouldn't allow him to play this year so he was put on the PUP list. I knew Jackon would emerge as a top back this year. and anyone who watches Backs knew the samething. You see how the Saints used Bush this year. The fact that he was on the field the defense had to account for him, infact at the beginning of the season he didn't get to many touches on running plays. They used him as a slot reciever. That's what I think the Rams would do with Faulk.

If you read my post, truly read my post, you would see that in no way did I say he would take touches from Jackson. If in fact Jackson averaged 21 touches there would be room for his 8 touches, especially on games you want ball control to keep an offense of the field.

There's a big difference between Faulk and Bush. Aside from the obvious that Bush was a rookie, he was also used as a returner, something Faulk would not be able to do. The other thing is that there was some uncertainty about McAllister's health this season.

Marshall seems content with his new career; I would be very surprised if he was on the opening day roster.
