I don't get why people are so high on Bartell sure he has had a good season but he hasn't faced the best competition.

Yeah, you mean the guy that played the entire last drive of the Bucs game with one arm, and still broke a pass up in the endzone.

Yeah I just don't get why people like him so much either

The most under-appreciated and under-valued Ram since London Fletcher.

Maybe we're high on him because he plays through injuries and does his job well. Just a guess, but I think that might have something to do with it.

You beat me to it HUb. If these guys don't rate among the "best competition", I'm not sure who would.

Bartell is one of the reasons the Rams have a top 10 defense. All he does is come out every week and play rock solid against the best the opposition can throw at him. Vastly underrated IMO.

    Shame that he can't catch.

Smith, Johnson and Fitz are the only players I would put under the best competition and Fitz wasn't at 100% and if I remember correctly it was his first game playing with Derek Anderson. I said he has been having a good season its not like I said he was terrible. But I don't think he is the best long term solution because the competition will get tougher and he will have to face probowl receivers nearly every week.

Like all DB's, if he could catch he would be a WR.
A defeated look of consternation, dissappointment, or even pain. The name derives from the look one often gets when challenged by a large BM.

Just be quiet , he has shut down ANY and ALL competition this year and he had damn near a shut down year in 08, he is one of the best corners in the league it just goes unnoticed because he does not intercept alot of balls. this is the NFL and every week brings a new challenge and every week bartell handles his business, he will be a successful ram for many years get used to it

This is why he is one of my favorite Rams...love the guy and really appreciate how he jumped back in on the last drive vs the Bucs while being banged up badly.

I tell you what. When every other player on the Rams team plays with as much skill and heart as Bartell then we can talk about upgrading that position. Until then I think we still have a long list of concerns for this to be one of them.
