Time for Jackson to walk the walk ..
Ok Steven, the big nasty you most wanted the Rams to draft? Well .. Billy and Spags grabbed him in rd #1. Add Karney and Brown into the mix, and there won't be alot of room for excuses. You've talked the talk before, now it's time to walk the walk .. Good Luck to you in 2009 !!!

Re: Time for Jackson to walk the walk ..
All this stuff around S-jax is great, but the most important thing is he stays healthy because we have no clue what we have behind him hopefully someone steps up.

We know he's a phenomenal player, it's him not getting hurt. We've seen him when he's healthy. It's scary.

Re: Time for Jackson to walk the walk ..
If he stays healthy, with all these tools around him, he should finish in the top 10 rushing.

I think he can finish in the top 5 when he's healthy.

Re: Time for Jackson to walk the walk ..
I've been critical of him in the past regarding some of his more ambitious statements but I'm looking forward to seeing how he does this year.
A lot will depend on how the line plays as a unit rather than just the sum of its individual parts and so I'm not sold on the notion that grabbing the Jason's (Brown, Smith) in itself will guarantee 1500+ yards for Jackson but I do think that there's more chance of a decent o-line this season. I'm interested to see where Greco and Scheuning are at the end of this pre-season.

Re: Time for Jackson to walk the walk ..
The only way S-Jax will have a good season is if Leonard or ogbonnaya could step up and be a quality back-up.
Think about we will basically be "running" the offense around Action Jackson. So i'm predicting around 30-40 carries per game. Yeah he will be tired before our bye week. So we need a quality back-up to keep S-Jax rested.
Also i dont really like the way people are saying Jackson is injury prone. Jackson does not go out of bounds like other RBs he rather get the extra yards and take the hits. He also runs over people instead of by them. So yea he will get plenty of bumps and bruises (bruised thigh last year).
The only way Action Jackson can "walk the walk" this year is if Leonard and/or Ogbonnaya can do there role.

Re: Time for Jackson to walk the walk ..
if ,if's and butts were candies and nuts, it would be X-mas time all year long.I don't want to hear the IF senario.Play hard and play long.Don't talk til yer up to the challenge.........so far.............no.We need a play maker and only if the everything is in place will Jackson or Bulger be a play maker.BE THE LEADERS AND BRING US UP FROM THE DEPTHS OF HELL. I know SJ MB are probably beat to death , but pull us out of the #$#@ and kick some ass!!!!!!!!! We are on the upward swing...........I can feel it!
I stopped going to the dentist.......I got tired of the cavity searches!
