Is it time to use the R word?

Is it time to rebuild after this season. First and foremost you either sell the team or keep it and Chip will have to lead the rebuilding movement. If you sell the team you sell it to a guy who really wants to win and wants to spend money to see those results ala the Steinbreners or Jerry Jones. Once you get that done you fire Linehan don't let him come within 50 ft of the organization. But, who do you hire? I've heard names like Steve Spagnulo and Jason Garrett, but thats exactly what we don't need especially now. Getting a young coordinator and turning him into a head coach is just asking for another Linny situation. What we do need is an experienced guy who has rebuilt an orginization or has contributed significantly to rebuilding one and may even have some headcoaching experience. A coach with experienced buddies around the league helps to build strong knowledgeable staff who can mentor the young guys. Third you get rid of zygmunt and all his croonies in the fron office. You get a knowledgeable GM who knows alot about drafting to assist Devaney who is more of an NFL talent evaluator. Then you sit down with coaches and the new FO and figure out the direction of the team. Finally you take action and fix up your roster. You build around guys like adam carriker, chris long, will witherspoon, jacob bell, steven jackson and a few other young guys and also bring in great presumably high draft picks (we can't afford any more busts), but everyone else will have to get with it or get lost. Its not gonna be a quick process probably will take a few years to even get back to 8-8, but we need to do it and in the long run we will be better.

erm...Dom Capers has experience of building things from scratch.....just saying....
lets not get obsessed with only hiring someone who has already been an HC in the NFL,the ones that didnt really suck it up and are still available are few and far between.

I'm not saying they have to have been a head coach i just want them to have experience.Brian Billick so called offensive guru with a bad offense seems realistic to me. He helped put together a good team he can get coordinators around him and he knows what he wants on the field

I would be pleased with Brian Billick, but would love Bill Cowher, the team would think twice before playing like crap when they know a spit shower is waiting for them. Really anyone with a proven record and experience as a head coach.
