Toby Wright is back. . . .!!!
In the (smaller) form of Darian Stewart. . .
The game was too late us to watch over in the land that knows how to spell 'colour' and 'realise' properly.
I checked the score at 0515hrs when I got up for work, and a after a quick look at the offense's stats thought . . . "WHAT!?!?!? . . . . How, why, when. . . "
Great hit by Stewart, and I did say last season that he DOES remind me of Wright when he brings the noise.
Good work guys . .
GO RAMS!!
Toby Wright is back. . . .!!!
Oh Toby Wright where are thou???
When is the last time we had a thumper at the safety position?
Re: Toby Wright is back. . . .!!!
not too late for me. i can`t sleep when the Rams are on even if i tried.
Dunbar i think is the biggest hitter on our team currently but as we talking Safeties..yeah Stewart can bring the wood like Toby style. just hope he can become consistent and look after his own body better than Toby did.
Re: Toby Wright is back. . . .!!!
Yea, Wright's career was too short when you compare him to similar safeties today like Adrian Wilson, and the recently retired John Lynch.
But you reap what you sow, and Wright played so aggressively that maybe it contributed to his bad knees so early.
Still its such a shame that Wright wasn't around during the GSOT. His tandem with Keith Lyle was one of the best in the league 1995-1998 but was sadly on consistently poor team.
Still, moving forward I hope Stewart can add maybe a few pounds and gain consistency to give us once again, one of the hardest hitting and aggressive safeties to have played.
Re: Toby Wright is back. . . .!!!
Good in run support but his coverage is questionable. He needs to work on that, shame he gets injured easily, he was the Rams surprise player last year if anyone remembers.

Darian Stewart? He's been very healthy for 2 years, this is his only injury.. And he is actually very good in coverage, and decent in run support..

I thought Darian Stewart was one of the only bright spots we had last year. I hope he gets more time so we can see what he can bring. He and Jenkins have both laid the wood this year.
