Top 10 Reasons Jackson's Holdout Is A Good Thing

    10. Antonio Pittman jersey sales have doubled in a week (they've now sold 4!).

    9. Has allowed Jackson to earn a bronze medal at Olympics archery competition.

    8. Internet trolls need something to b!#@$ about.

    7. Dreadlock stylists in Mequon were able to go on vacation over past few weeks.

    6. Because we can't get enough of Travis Minor.

    5. Now fair weather fans will be able to sell their tickets to opposing fans without guilt.

    4. Because he's not really that good anyway (I read this on several message boards, so it must be true)

    3. Because its fun to watch fantasy football geeks agonize over whether to draft him in the first round.

    2. Now we can all see what a great value Brian Leonard was as a second round pick (WARNING: SARCASM ALERT).

    1. He's not injured.

And you thought Mike Martz was "mad"!

Nice list, very creative. However, for any of the anti-linehan people, the number one item on the list should be "It will lead to Linehan being fired before Thanksgiving."

Given our schedule in the early going, I dont believe that we will win more than one game without jackson of the first 7 or 8 (buffalo at home) and i dont think that Linehan will make it through the full season if we are that bad. The fact that our offensive linemen are dropping like flies doesn't help either and doesn't bode well for bulger.

Although, Linehan apologist might suggest that not having Jackson would be a good reason (excuse) to keep Linehan on if we go 1 for 7. You know, "well, he would have done better had he had Jackson in the lineup."

As for the prediction that the Rams win more than one game without Jackson is probably a good bet. Of course, I don't believe the Rams will be favored to win more than two of the first 7 or 8 WITH Jackson in the lineup. It's going to be a brutal start to 2008.
