Top 10 things Rams fans can say around the water cooler
Funny article. Here's the original link http://http://www.realfootball365.co...les/19751.html
It just doesn't get much bleaker than this.
St. Louis fans were filled with optimism at the beginning of the 2007 season, touting the Rams' array of offensive weaponry and upgrades on defense. It was assumed that the Rams had the talent to make the playoffs and possibly retake the division title.
A little over a month later, the cruel sledgehammer of reality has waylaid the remaining fans who have yet to find something else to do with their Sundays. Those few that will continue to watch are either die-hards, masochists or suffer from a shared delusion that "it's not over yet."
For those who have yet to be driven insane by the Rams' ineptitude and are desperate to find a silver lining in the aftermath of their loss to Arizona, here are the top 10 things the 0-5 team's loyalists can say to each other around the water cooler this week:
"We're still not mathematically eliminated."
"No one on the offensive line went down this week."
"We're only three games out of first place!"
"Will Kurt Warner be a free agent next year?"
"Richie Incognito sure looked enthusiastic."
"Were those referees on loan from the NBA?"
"Actually, scoring touchdowns in a game is a moral victory."
"The announcers mentioned Drew Bennett and Randy McMichael ... by name!"
"Who does Mel Kiper have ranked No. 1 overall for the '08 draft?"
"Nobody comes into our house favored by four and beats the spread!"
So, for the legion of St. Louis fans who, by reading this article, prove that they have yet to give up on their team, take solace in the fact that things can't possibly get any worse. Marc Bulger and Steven Jackson should return soon, and although St. Louis won't make the playoffs, it should become competitive once more.
Then again, Arizona wasn't exactly dominant in its victory, Seattle looks as if it's on a steep decline, and San Francisco can't generate any offense.
Hmmm ...

The thing that caught my eye (because it's so hard to believe) is that we are 0-5 and still only three games out of first place. Not to mention tied for first for worst team in the leauge. :\:x

I do believe that it is very possible that after the bye week, the Rams could go on a run. They'll have time to get healthy and they should be coming off a win against the Browns. I wouldnt say the season is over yet. Not by a long shotThen again, Arizona wasn't exactly dominant in its victory, Seattle looks as if it's on a steep decline, and San Francisco can't generate any offense. The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.

If there is any team that can come back, it's be this franchise.
1st 8-8 team ever to win a playoff game and
1st 9-7 team to win a Superbowl.
We can turn mediocracy and stinkness into greatness!

Re: Top 10 things Rams fans can say around the water cooler
Uh, we didn't win the Super Bowl when we went 9-7 in 1979.
However, we started 0-5 in 2002, then won 5 games in a row to sit at 5-5. We started that run by knocking off the 5-0 Oakland Raiders (who went to the Super Bowl that year). That was Bulger's first start for the Rams. We lost again when Warner returned from having a broken hand. In fact, he ran into me with that cast while jumping into the stands to kiss his wife in celebration of the win. I should have given him a wedgie.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

It really is amazing that a fan of the football Cardinals would try to make fun of another team for only having won 1 SB. Let's see, how many world championship banners to the Cardinals display? Oh right, none. But they must have had a lot of conference championships, right? Ehhh, no.
To loosely quote the scarecrow: If only some people had a brain....

Re: Top 10 things Rams fans can say around the water cooler
If I were a Tards fan, I would have been wishing for Noheart, uh, I mean, Leinart to go down sooner. Now, maybe they'll make some headway with Warner. No, wait, this is the Tards we're talking about. What was I thinking? The Tards are, and always will be the laughing stock of the NFL. There's nothing funnier, or more amusing than a Deadbirds fan trying to call out fans of any other team, especially when they're dumb enough to mention conference championships or Superbowls. They haven't even sniffed a Championship season. Since I really don't know much about the Tards, because, really, who ever talks about them, I decided to look up their history and see what they've accomplished.
Hmmmmmmm, looking, ...still looking. Hey, here's something. They were 9-7 in 1998!!!! Oh, and the last winning season before that? 1984. I guess that's something to brag about.
Faithful Rams fan since 1968
