    Torry Holt

Do you guys think Torry Holt will be retired a ram as well? And do you guys think he will beat out Isaac's records with the rams?

Also, who do you think is better Torry or Isaac? And why didn't the rams do this for Kurt?

I thought we would trade for Kurt and have him retire here as well.

    Re: Torry Holt

I don't think they will do this for Torry.

To me, Bruce was more respected as an individual off the field than Torry, and was held in a higher regard.

I think they didn't do it to Kurt because unlike Issac, Kurt actually helped his latest team to playoffs, and was very involved with them. Plus, Issac left this team around 2008. Kurt left alot earlier.

We didn't do it for kurt cause he wasn't here as long and same for holt as well. Holt won't retire a ram and he can't beat bruces records cause he is no longer with th rams...

Holt is an All-Time Rams Great.

    Bruce is an Icon.

    At least that's my opinion.

    Re: Torry Holt

I don't think Torry did himself any favors the last few years he was here and may have burnt a few bridges?
I don't think Warner should retire a Ram due to his history with the Cards, but I would like to see him honored in some capacity.
Bruce...Well, the man was a class act. Nuff said.

Bruce and Holt were equals. They were symbiotic. As one goes, so must the other. And Torrey was always a class act. Even at the end he humped it on every down.

I don't really agree with this. To me, Bruce was far superior than Torry, off the field and on the field.

    Re: Torry Holt

Just a hunch, but I doubt they do the same for Torry. Bruce slaved away for five disappointing seasons before the Greatest Show years and stuck around for a good bit afterward. We never saw him yell at the coach on the sideline. We never heard quotes from him in the off-season about other teams he might want to play for. Whereas Bruce seemed beloved by all as a mentor and team leader, Holt seemed to take the approach that the young guys were the competition brought in to challenge for his job. And honestly, even though Torry's stats were still good, it didn't look like he was giving it his all the last two seasons he was with us (perhaps understandably given that he plainly did not see eye-to-eye with the coaching staff).

Torry was a phenomenal receiver for 6 seasons and a good one for 2 more; he deserves recognition for that. But Bruce was a role model in every sense for 14 seasons with the team and only left when it was clear that the coaches didn't really have a place for him anymore.

Its a sad day for me. Phroehl, Holt, Bruce, Faulk and Warner were the Rams for 3 great years and now, only Holt still plays and not for us. Tory is as much symbol of that wonderful time as any of the others. I can't say who is better as they both complimented eachother, Bruce makeing Tory better by pulling coverage off him and vice versa. Warner will likely be recognised at some point.

    Re: Torry Holt

He only did that because the rams went back on their own word on his contract. He wouldn't have come back if he didn't totally love this team. Bruce would have stayed a ram if we had still wanted him. Holt couldn't wait to go. Hence between the 2, its Bruce all the way for me. He was also a more willing tutor. Just my opinion.

I'm not sure which is worse, Bruce playing for the Whiners or Holt playing for Patriots?

Bruce was an original LOS ANGELES RAM that had a Hall of Fame career.

Although Holt was a great player I wouldn't put in the same class as Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!

    Re: Torry Holt

The way I look at it is this: They both started going downhill almost at the same time. The difference is that Torry is about 5 years younger than Bruce is. If Torry had kept up his level of play, then not only would he still be a Ram, but he'd be on the same level of player as Bruce was. At one point, Holt was on a a hall of fame pace, but no longer. Bruce deserves to be in the Hall, no question in my mind.
    I believe!
