    Re: Torry Holt

Av summed it up nicely, Bruce was an iconic Ram in every sense of the word, Holt was a great performer for the Rams. Big difference IMO when considering numbers being retired. Plus, Bruce became a Ram again, then retired a Ram, not sure Holt would do that.

As for Bruce defecting to the whiners, I think the biggest factor there was Mike Martz.

I thought we would trade for Kurt and have him retire here as well.
How will he do this if he's not a ram?

    Re: Torry Holt

The thing with Warner is he had a great career with the Rams and then a very good career with the Cardinals. He set records for both franchises, and broke NFL records with both franchises. He could really be a guy who you think of as half Rams half Cardinals (maybe a dash of the Giants if you want )
Bruce did all of his amazing work with the Rams, and not only that with the LA Rams as well. His numbers are amazing, and is one of the most respected people in the league.
Holt was on pace to break all kinds of records earlier in his career (fastest ever to 10,000 yards I think), has the circus catches, and was known for his speed. Career was not as long as Bruce's, but he was still a great player.

Personally, I think once every member of the 1999 team has retired, the Rams need to do something very special to honor all of them. Those group of guys were a VERY special team and one of the greatest stories in NFL history.
