Is Travis Fisher holding out?
I seemed to recall he was holding out for a better contract?
Is that still the case?

Re: Is Travis Fisher holding out?
I never got a definitive answer from anyone on this. I got the one report from my friend in the locker room, but balzer didnt really confirm it, he only stated that he had no information of anyone being awol. We will know soon enough when we see if he shows up at mini camp in a week or so.

If Bartell pans out Fisher may be gone anyway next season.

Re: Is Travis Fisher holding out?
Travis Fischer missed a lot of playing time last year due to injuries, especially that broken jaw/teeth situation. He came back and played valiantly later in the season ... but I don't believe he is in any position to "hold out".
No. Not this year -- he still needs to prove himself more to the NFL. :tough:

Re: Is Travis Fisher holding out?
I dont think Travis is good enough yet to hold out,but I know that doesnt stop these guys......like bryce I dont think he'll command much more than hes getting now....He needs to go to work and shut up if this is the case.

Re: Is Travis Fisher holding out?
I agree that he should not hold out, but i believe he is by a good margain the best cover corner we have. We really suffered without him in the lineup and this is a guy that we really need this year.

Re: Is Travis Fisher holding out?
As a rams fan, i certainly would NOT long for the old days without a salary cap. I think that historically, the rams were cheap when it came to laying out money, certainly in the georgia era. The cap put everyone on an even footing and gave us a better chance to compete, coupled with the fact that st louis is not the biggest market town.
Now, if georgia died and kroenke took over, we would have the resources to spend whatever we wanted. However, i am willing to be that the NFL owners will NEVER (which i conceede is a long time) give up the concept of the cap. The hard cap in the nfl, coupled with the non-guaranteed nature of the contracts, is what preserves the profit margains, keeps the players on a short leash and prevents the inmates from running the asylum as they do in several other sports.
