During the 1989 Rams playoff game vs the NY Giants, Flipper Anderson caught the winning TD in OT and ran straight into the tunnel of Giants stadium to celebrate.

In 1990, he finished 6th in the league in receiving yards with 1047 yards. However, his best year was '89 when he had 1146 yards and didn't even make the league's top 10.
"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
