No, this CAN'T be Marshall's last year! No way! I heard him say on TV he may go two, three more seasons (I know, that's always up for grabs in any player's career). Our No. 28 is too much of a competitor to leave before 2003.

Excellent poll questions. I think Trung MUST remain but requires the company of Holcombe, Watson and a good rookie for the future as well. Rams would also need to modify their offensive game accordingly. Warner should still be at the helm.

It has been reported that Faulk will go at the end of the season both privatly and publicly but never by Marshall.

I would put my money on him going.

Say Dez, how did the "privately" report come about being that it wasn't from Marshall? Just wondering... Hee-hee-hee.

By the way, what happened to the "PLAYERS THROUGH THE YEARS" column? Or maybe I didn't look well enough for it. I noticed you did some good pruning, good job. Wouldn't the 'oldies but goodies' section stay somewhere though? :-)

In my very biased opinion,I think if the Rams win the Super bowl this year Marshall may decide to go out on top.If,God forbid, we
stumble,I think pride keeps Marshall around for at least another season.Just my opinion.I think Trung has a very bright future if he can stay healthy.Drafting a prospect might be a good idea though.

I am troubled to know that this may be Marshall's last year. I didn't even know this was a possibility. But, now that I've read these posts I see that winning the big one this year could mean Marshall leaving while he's on top.

Yes, Trung is an excellent RB to step into Faulk's position, but no one will ever step into Faulk's shoes. Faulk is the greatest to ever play the game and I only wish that he would be around a few more years to prove it to any doubters. There will never be another Marshall Faulk.

Marshall's knees aren't the best in the world, that is for sure. Wouldn't he make an EXCELLENT coach?

Good question TXRamfan, I hadn't thought about Marshall being a coach. He definitely has the right work ethics for it, the right discipline and drive to instill in other running backs. Interesting possibility...

Yes, his knees have suffered to who-knows-what extent. Makes you wonder if that factor hasn't been the fumble rarities of late.

One of the attributes that makes Marshall such an exciting player is that he is very intelligent and can stop and turn so quickly. Maybe not quite as good as Barry Sanders used to, but well enough to make linebackers miss. Notice the extra yards after catches as well.

Trung Candidate wll also be a major factor for future successes. In my opinion, Trung will have to get more experience and focus much more on his ball handling abilities. Too many fumbles to be a dominate player in the NFL.
