TE
Joe Klopfenstein had the first two catches of his career in the loss to the ***** and will catch more passes as the season progresses. He has good hands and enough speed to get downfield on seam routes and crossing patterns. His blocking, remains a work in progress.
RISING: RB
Steven Jackson isn't the problem with the sputtering offense. He has been dragging tacklers for yards and dancing less than he did last season. Jackson still has too many negative running plays, but this season, that has been more a product of penetration by defenders than drifting outside by Jackson. He has been sharper in his decision making and hasn't missed many run reads. He's responding well to his new workhorse responsibilities.
PROBLEM SPOT: The passing game looks disjointed. QB
Marc Bulger doesn't look comfortable in the pocket. The Rams are struggling to adjust to coach Scott Linehan's conservative approach, which emphasizes taking fewer chances and avoiding turnovers.
