Re: Tye Hill to Atl.
Just read that on FOX Sports. Here is the article.
The Atlanta Falcons continue efforts to bolster a roster in hopes of making a Super Bowl run this season.
The Falcons Tuesday acquired Rams former first-round pick CB Tye Hill in a trade, FOXSports.com has learned. In return, the Rams received a seventh-round selection in next year's draft.
As far as the Rams, they are definitely in rebuilding mode under new coach Steve Spagnuolo. New St. Louis general manager Billy Devaney also was originally the executive who hired Thomas Dmitroff as GM in Atlanta before last season, making these trade talks an easy process. Hill was originally the 15th overall pick in the 2006 draft by St. Louis, and has four career interceptions in his three NFL seasons.

Re: Tye Hill to Atl.
Well I guess we won't be having anymore Hill v. Cromartie discussions. This puts the final nail in that issue although there really wasn't much else to say.
However, methinks that this is really not all about Hill but a certain unheard of rookie named Quincy Butler who has, by most reports, been playing well in TC and the pre-season games.
Heh. Pretty funny don't ya think? Tye Hill beat out by an undrafted rookie and traded for a 7th round pick. Ouch!! He might be needing some self-esteem counseling sessions in the near future.
WHAT SAY YE?

Re: Tye Hill to Atl.
The Post says Wade is the starter with King as the nickel. Ouch. Wade hasn't exactly been tearing it up when I've seen him. JMO but this is a cap cut to rebuild for 2010. There is one guy on this roster that is a massive cap hit in 2010 that had better turn things up drastically if he wants to survive the season. Marc? Hello?

Re: Tye Hill to Atl.
Remember how excited Linny was when they acquired Hill? My neighbors can probably remember the loud string of expletives originating from my house when we traded down passing on Haloti Ngata and Broderick Bunkley to acquire Hill. Well .. at least we got a peanut butter sandwich for him ..

Re: Tye Hill to Atl.
You don't think this remotely has the smell of a salary cap cut? Look at the people cut by the Rams that took a significant 2009 salary cap hit to free up space for 2010. Tye Hill is just the most recent. The only (aged and expensive) player on the roster still that fits that mold is Marc.
Atlanta is likely to make the playoffs this year again. We received one of the last picks in the draft for the guy. That's basically equal to cutting the guy.
