The NFL all-rookie team as selected by Pro Football Weekly and the Pro Football Writers of America:

    OFFENSE

WR - Marques Colston, New Orleans; Greg Jennings, Green Bay.
    TE - Owen Daniels, Houston.

G - Jahri Evans, New Orleans; Daryn Colledge, Green Bay.
C - Nick Mangold, New York Jets.
    QB - Vince Young, Tennessee.
RB - Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville; Reggie Bush, New Orleans.

    DEFENSE

DL - Mark Anderson, Chicago; Tamba Hali, Kansas City; Haloti Ngata, Baltimore; Barry Cofield, New York Giants.
LB - DeMeco Ryans, Houston; A.J. Hawk, Green Bay; Ernie Sims, Detroit.
CB - Richard Marshall, Carolina; Tye Hill, St. Louis.
S - Dawan Landry, Baltimore; Donte Whitner, Buffalo.

    SPECIAL TEAMS

K - Steve Gostkowski, New England.
    P - Ryan Plackemeier, Seattle.

    PR - Devin Hester, Chicago.
ST - Bernard Pollard, Kansas City.

And just think, how many people wanted to keep the rookie on the bench and keep starting Fisher...

Congrats to him! I liked how he looked towards the end of the season. Let's hope he can continue his improvement.

Great accomplishment for Hill, and hopefully he's ready to earn more of them in 2007 with some outstanding play.

Re: Tye Hill named first team All-Rookie

if i remember correctly Tye said his goal for the year was to make all-rookie, which he has done. I cant remember what his next goal was but he said it was pro bowl fairly soon...

Great job Tye, Now lets put a defensive line together that will put pressure on the QB & then I'm sure we will see Tye in the pro bowl

Good Job Tye! You had a really good season as Rookie. Imagine what he can do when he starts in every game in a season!

Yeah I'm with you Big Daddy Pace. I don't remember anyone who wanted Fisher to keep starting. Fisher was a major dissapointment as a Ram. He had one good season then broke his arm the next year and it was all downhill from there.

Half this site wanted his head on a platter, the other half wanted him to keep starting and made every excuse under the sun for him.

Travis Fisher and Alex barron are both major disappointments to me. Great job, Tye!
