1) Jackson denied the report saying he wants 10 mill/per year.
2) I saw the interview and he doesn't talk like a headcase. Egotistical players don't try to hide their infatuation with themselves. The guy made some mistakes, but get real, he's not even close to being in the same category as T.O. or B. Marshall.
3) A top WR drafted will cost us a top pick, top dollar, and he will spend the first couple years developing.
4) Bottom line: Even with his issues and potential cost, VJAX is a proven, durable, explosive commodity you would be hard pressed to replace. There is no other 230lbs WR in the NFL who can do what he does. We aren't buying a player, we would be adding the last piece to the offensive puzzle. SJAX, Bradford, VJAX...

Even if we don't trade for him we can still prospectively get him next year as a UFA. Granted if that happens he will probably be a year removed from the game making his price tag down, but I do think he will be another good young receiver still. Other prospective numbers 1s include Santonio Holmes, Randy Moss, Steve Smith (Giants), and possibly Jacoby Jones.

Right now he is suspended for 3. If he gets traded or signs by Sept. 6th it stays at 3. If he doesn't sign or trade it gets increased to 6.
