Yipeeeee....... We need a real. WR!!!
Looking for two straight outstanding surprise FA pickups @WR is asking for a bit much.
But i'll try to stay positive and hope he can fill in right away.
:D
He was very inconsistent in Washington, never passing the 500 yd mark for a WR in a season. Lets hope he can rebound his career here.....
He was released because of poor work ethic and an inability to step up when the chance to be the starting receiver opposite Santana Moss was wide open going into this past offseason. He might be one of the better raw talents out there, but I highly doubt he'll do anything to help us win anything.
UPDATE: Quality poster and game recapper Mike Franke has said elsewhere that Softli is on 101 ESPN and is acting like he knows nothing about this, so it's possible at this point that his Tweet was a suggestion (as in, "Rams, call WO Devon Thomas for workout!") rather than a report. I've Tweeted Softli a question asking him to clarify, so hopefully we'll know soon.
Well we have heard this before a wide receiver that struggles to make an impact for his team is sent to the Rams lets look at the list:
Danny Amendola
Brandon Gibson
Laurant Robinson
Mark Clayton
Yea i dont think i would give either of them back. Devin Thomas just needed a change of scenery. Maybe coming to the re-building rams will give the motivation he needs.
but... heres something on Thomas he is injury prone... sigh... hopefullly he doesnt pull a Laurant robinson, Donnie Avery, or Mark Clayton getting injured while being a really good target for or QB.
One of his teammates posted a picture of him sleeping during the regular meeting at Washington.
Here it is.

Its good to see that he is concerned about giving his body the proper amount of sleep.
The talent is there you can't coach size and speed. We cant get Fitzgerald for free so why not take this kid for next to nothing and see if he cant give us a boost with our horid WR's or our poor return game.
What does it matter if he plays for us he'll just get hurt. Admit it we're snake bitten.
Whatever happened to Kevin Curtis?
