Updates from today's practice ...
Rams update: McCollum at center; Bruce returns to practice
By Jim Thomas
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
Wednesday, Oct. 17 2007
With center Brett Romberg on the sidelines because of an ankle injury, the Rams
opened the practice week for Seattle today with Andy McCollum at center and
Claude Terrell at left guard with the starting unit.
Wide receivers Isaac Bruce (hamstring) and Dane Looker (thigh) were in uniform
and practicing after both missed the past two games with injuries.
Drew Bennett (hamstring) was in sweats and not practicing.
Running back Steven Jackson, wearing the red no-contact jersey, worked during
individual drills -- his first practice work since suffering a partially torn
groin muscle Sept. 23 in Tampa Bay.
But he's still a week or more away from returning to the lineup.
Newly signed wide receiver Travis Taylor was on the field, wearing jersey No.
18.
Linebacker Raonall Smith was placed on the injured reserve list to free up a
roster spot for Taylor

Re: Updates from today's practice ...
What was Linehan doing? Was he wearing the red no contact jersey as well? Why not?Everyone else on this team is hurting.

Re: Updates from today's practice ...
Who the heck is Taylor, and why are we adding another WR to the roster?Newly signed wide receiver Travis Taylor was on the field, wearing jersey No.
18.
Are the 5 TE's we have incapable of catching balls?
Don't you think maybe an O lineman would be a wiser choice?:x:\JUST WIN ONE FOR THE FANS

Re: Updates from today's practice ...
I bet Andy was excited to be back starting at center. Hopefully he can get our O-line another spark going. They did start to look a LITTLE bit better last week, and they will be what our offense will live or die from.

Re: Updates from today's practice ...
Why aren't we using Randy McMichael more? He has played well in Miami. We hardly are using him and we have too many TEs. I had a good feeling about him in preseason. Are all the TEs being used for blocking purposes only?

Re: Updates from today's practice ...
Not disrepsect to Curtis, but we have much bigger problems and reason why we are not winning. Names Pace, JAckson and Bulger ring a bell.
Cutris was good, but our problems are much greater than not resigning him.

Re: Updates from today's practice ...
ramsbruce, why do you feel the need to protect Linehan and the coaching staff everytime someone says something negative about them? Are you working for them? Are you part of the staff? Do you really think they are perfect and they make no mistakes or errors in judgement?

Re: Updates from today's practice ...
Why do you feel the need to call me out and assume I protect them all of the time. You clearly haven't been reading all of my posts because I have leveled plenty of criticism at Linehan and staff where it is deserved. So it's not even close to "everytime" someone criticizes the staff. I have criticized the staff, you must have missed that.
People have said plenty of negative things that I agree with, also plenty of negative things that I don't agree with.
I find it humorous that people feel the need to bash Linehan so much that just because the player we brought in to replace the FB Hedgecock happens to play TE AND FB means he is here to play TE. We brought him here to play FB, so it's a cheap shot when people say oh look we have 5 TEs, he's not playing TE he's playing FB. Can anyone tell me why it's a bad thing that our FB can also play TE.
There are plenty of problems to talk about, I don't think the FB we brought in to play FB and who also happens to play TE also is one of them.BRUUUUUUUUCE
