    Vick or Sam

Before I state the question I am a huge Bradford supporter and think the rams made the right choice. However, back in the offseason the rams could have traded for Vick and drafted Suh. Do you think the rams would have been better off with Vick and Suh or Sam Bradford?

Forget Suh, forget Vick. Give me Bradford any day of the week and four times on sunday (or monday in a year or two).

    Re: Vick or Sam

I advocated for such an action before Bradford was more of a known commodity. Vick is one outstanding player in the Eagles offense, but that success wouldn't translate as well here for obvious reasons. Still, the Rams would be better this year with Vick, but I see Bradford as the more appropriate long-term solution.

No one could have predicted Vick or Bradford, so don't lose too much sleep over it. For all we knew, Suh might have been more average than he turned out to be. We made the best decision possible at the time, no need to look back.

    Bradford and it's not close.

This scenario isn't much different than the Suh-Colt combo someone posed not so long ago, except Vick isn't young, would have lots of detractors from day one and was never very good at anything other than scrambling when he was with the Falcons.

Frankly, I'm still dumbstruck that he somehow learned how to throw with accuracy while in prison. I don't think anyone could have realistically predicted that his quarterback rating would shoot up more than 20 points higher than any season he ever had with the Falcons after spending years out of the game, which would have made it a terrible gamble at the time. Plus, he's still not a long-term answer. by the time, we've built a strong supporting cast for Bradford, Vick may well be ready to walk away from the game. Ideally, we want to build for an era of success, not a couple years of trying to back our way into the playoffs.

    Bradford in a heartbeat.

Now while I don't think Bradford has lost us any games I do believe a Vick/Suh combo would probably have resulted in another win or two this season... IF Vick could have handled the frustration of less talented receiver options.

However without a doubt I believe Bradford is the long term, long time success this team has been in need of for several years.

The odds of a season-ending injury for Vick are exponentially higher than for Sam imho. I certainly wish him well though. He's made a remarkable comeback.

Plus, Vick wouldn't have had those downfield throwing options with the Rams he's had at Philly.

    Re: Vick or Sam

With the supporting cast and 'system' in place in Saint Louis I doubt Vick would look as good as he does right now.

I know Vick seems to be doing and saying the 'right things' right now but I am still leery.

If Sam can stay healthy the forecast is for better things than what Vick has done.(Both on and off the field)

A lot of excellent points made already. No need to elaborate. There is no contest.

HOWEVER, we could have gotten Vick for a steal at one point in addition to Sam...probably would've polarized the fans though.

Ok, I will play your silly game. How about we bring in Mike Martz Offensive Co. He led the Bears Offence to score way more points per game than we have with a QB that has Diabetes and an anemic O Line that is worse than ours. We bring in Peppers to offset Long and Chester Taylor to give us a legit two back set. We sign Terrell "THEY STILL LOVE TO HATE ME" Owens and Randy Moss on the other side for realistic deap threats. And we don't have to draft a single one.

What do you think about that RAMS team?

    Re: Vick or Sam

Right now i think Vick is a way better QB than Bradford.

But i think both are happy where they are. Vick got his weapons and the coaching he needed in Phili and Bradford got the protection (a little iffy now) from his o-line.

I think that Vick might very well be the leading rusher in the league if he came here - running for his life!

    Re: Vick or Sam

Vick would have been a stop-gap gun for hire that MIGHT have made the team marginally better. Bradford is a franchise foundation to build a long term winner on. Give Bradford the weapons Vick has at receiver and this isn't even close.

Bradford without a doubt, Bradford has a lot more years in the NFL then Vick does. We just need to draft receivers.
