Video Clip: Vick Talks About The Rams

Interesting who he says is the key to the Rams' defense.

Re: Video Clip: Vick Talks About The Rams

Sounds good to me. Vick keeps his eyes on Arch, and gets nailed by Little, Pisa, or Hargrove instead.

You hope that Marmie was watching that - great inside info for planning decoy system!

ZigZagRam - will become famous soon enough
Re: Video Clip: Vick Talks About The Rams

For awhile there it looked like Rich Coady was the focus of our defense. Only because we had no choice I suppose.

Re: Video Clip: Vick Talks About The Rams

Actually, he's right.

He's not saying that Archuleta is the impact player on this defense that you are "afraid" of....he's saying that Arch is the guy to watch to "educate" you on what the defense is going to do on a particular play.

The rams defense struggled most of the year for 1 main reason....They couldn't get pressure from the front 4...so on about every other play, you see Arch sneeking up to either help out against the run, or to blitz. And if you have to bring in help against the run, you know there's one less guy helping out against the pass. Not that they had much choice when teams were averaging like 160 yards rushing per game there for awhile.

I thought we may have solved that issue when out of nowhere, the imergence of Kennedy and Fisher started applying pressure, but I'm a little concerned after Seattle, as the pass rush was non-existent until some key plays in the 4th.

Definitely having Edwards helps as well, but I hope Atlanta doesn't have quite the O'line that Seattle does.

Hopefully, Marmie is well aware that teams are looking to Arch for signals, and will try to mix things up.
