View From Cardinal Stadium

Cardinal Stadium is an awesome facility inside, but it's nearly impossible to move from level to level. Only one way down in the entire place, so it took me almost a half hour to go from my nosebleed seats to the high priced neighborhood where Dez was sitting for a visit.

It was packed to the rafters and at times was EXTREMELY loud. A lot of red, but also a surprising amount of blue and gold. Rams fans represented well.

I'm not sure what's up with Cardinals fans, but despite all the excitement at the end of the fourth quarter, they were streaming for the exits with several minutes to go. A little strange.

You could really feel the energy in the fourth quarter when things were going back and fourth. The emotional ride between both teams and their fans was absolutely electric, all the way up to the near free kick that never was. I can't talk, I'm metally drained and actually still in a bit of shock. Overall great experience though.

Re: View From Cardinal Stadium

so, getting this thread back on track.
Mike, I phoned you twice to get you back down next to us as there was around 20 empty seats. Shame you missed.
You are right, of all the stadiums I have been to, the cards nest has to be the nicest, more than likely because its the newest LOL
One thing though, not impressed with $3.50 for a bottle of water or $5 for a little tub of icecream.

Remember, there are a lot of L.A. transplants in AZ. For those of us that remember games at the Coliseum, fans arriving midway through the 1st half, and leaving a few minutes into the 4th.

Dez, I did see that the row behind you was completely empty. Too bad indeed my entourage didin't all come down. At that point though, like I mentioned earlier, they made it extremely difficult to get from level to level and I didn't want to miss things trying to make our way down. I did have some fun watching you guys through the binocs squirming a little during the latter part of the game.

Granted, but these people were leaving right after Arizona scored late in the fourth to make it 16-14. I don't know, maybe "same old Cardinals" was ringing in their brains and they knew what was coming.
