Wanted: K/P Return Man
Who's are return man for next year? Do we have someone on the roster now? Are we going to sign a free agent? Could we solve the problem from the draft?
We normally have four WOs on the roster...do I smell a first round WR/ Return Man? Thoughts......

Re: Wanted: K/P Return Man
If you are hinting at Ted Ginn I doubt it. Although I have seen him going to us in a couple of mock drafts. As of right now, I guess its Marques Hagans.

Re: Wanted: K/P Return Man
Perhaps, I don't know why we don't give Tye Hill a try...I mean, hell why not? I know we don't need him getting injured from special teams, but he is now officially the fastest guy on the Rams (since KC is gone), so I'd say we should try giving him a shot at returning..

Re: Wanted: K/P Return Man
Wes Welker the guy that left the Dolphins and signed with the Patriots would have been perfect for us. He returns punts/kick-offs and is a decent receiver.

Re: Wanted: K/P Return Man
I agree, I always liked Welker. He's a really good return man and I even think he's a bit underrated as a receiver. He was probably cheap to sign as well, would have been a great pickup.
I'm far from sold on Hagans, never really liked that choice, but seeing as we pretty much have no one else we might as well give him a shot as things look right now.
Maybe picking up a speedy RB who can return as well in the later (4th-5th+) rounds of the draft would be a good idea. I'm not sure who we could target at that point in the draft, but if we can find someone who is both a returner and a change of pace back for Jackson that would be great - seeing how Marshall Faulk's chances of returning appear very very low we could be really screwed if Jackson is injured for a long stretch next year.

Re: Wanted: K/P Return Man
I dont want a guy like Hill on KR, the risk of injury is too high and i dont even know if he has experience back there.
As for a first round WR/KR? i very much doubt it.
But we could sneak one in as a late day 1 pick, or maybe a RB/KR in the third for example

Re: Wanted: K/P Return Man
Remember what happened to Jason Sehorn(when at NYG) returning kicks,he blew his knee and was never the same player again.IMO thats a good enough reason as not to put Hill in that situation..:l
