Warner's home for sale
HEY GC, CAN I BORROW SOME MONEY :-)
JUNE 22
Super Bowl hero Warner puts Chesterfield home up for sale
by James Trotter
Former St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner and his wife, Brenda, have listed their six-bedroom, five bath at 15910 Old Clarkson Rd. in Chesterfield with an asking price of $2.1199 million.
The Warners paid $1.65 million for the home in Oct. 2000.
Janet McAfee real estate is the listing agency for the 6,528 square foot home , which was built in 1992.
A nine-year veteran of the National Football League and one of the league's greatest rags-to-riches stories, Mr. Warner rose from the ranks of the Arena Football League to a Super Bowl MVP and two-time NFL MVP with the St. Louis Rams.
At his peak with the club following the 1999 regular season, Warner threw for 414 yards and two touchdowns and led the Rams to a 23-16 win over the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV on Jan. 30, 2000. He won both the Super Bowl MVP and the NFL MVP during the club's historic season, becoming just the sixth player in league history to win the two awards in the same season.
Warner, who served as a backup quarterback before his rise to success began early in the 1999 season, went on to be named 2001 NFL MVP and threw for 14,447 yards and 102 touchdowns in six seasons in a Rams uniform.
He was released by the Rams following a 2003 season and was picked up by the New York Giants, where he threw for 2,054 yards and six touchdowns in 2004.
He has suited up for the Arizona Cardinals since 2005, and signed a three-year deal with the team in Feb. 2006. While playing largely as a backup to former Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart, Warner has thrown for 4,090 yards and 17 touchdowns in two seasons with the team.
Entering the upcoming 2007 season, Warner has thrown for 20,591 yards and 125 touchdowns in his career, while boasting a career passer rating of 93.8.
Prior to joining the Rams, Warner played two seasons with the Iowa Barnstormers of the Arena Football League (1996-1997). His number (13) has been retired by both the Barnstormers and the Amsterdam Admirals, with whom Warner played during the 1998 NFL Europe season.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he met Brenda. They married in 1997.

Re: Warner's home for sale
or...we all pitch in and buy it as the "Clan Ram Bash Headquarters" and we meet and stay there each season...maybe even write our trips off as a business expense?
2.1 million divided by approximately 119 members = $17,647 each....Last edited by MoonJoe; -06-24-2007 at 11:18 AM.
