    We can beat the Saints...

next week if we play our style of football for the entire game . I really think we can, however, I dont think that this defense can afford to stay on the field for too long against that offense. Its probably best, and very important, that we keep it close and keep Brees off the field for as long as possible. Not exactly sure if we want to and are able to get in a shootout with them.
That being said , I expect a hard fought game with the winner probably having the least amount of turnovers. This is, once again, a huge test for us because I feel that beating other teams outside of the division says a lot. If teams like the Browns and Cardinals can do it then we can too . No excuses here guys.
I didnt mention the other teams on our schedule because our focus is not, nor should it be, on them. If I had to say which game would mean the most for us winning, its not the Chiefs in STL (ok, maybe I did ) or the Seahawks in Seatle , its the CHAMPS in the Metrodome .
I expect every bit of fight from our RAMS

Just play like we did against the Chargers minus the 2nd half. Keep Brees out of the field, play good cover D, and put a lot of pressure on him. Expect this to be tougher without Hoomanawanui but Bajema has become a reliable TE target for Bradford. All in all, Any Given Sunday baby!!

If the playoffs started today we'd face NO in the 1st round, so next week's game is hopefully a preview of what is to come.

We should have beat them last year. I am sure that the rams remember that and they are going to be hungry for another win.

Here's something I don't think anyone saw coming:

We've won two back to back road games!

Albeit aginst two teams with 3-8 records, but I'll take any win the Rams bring.
Rams will have to play a special brand of football and become more creative againts the Saints in New Orleans. It'll be a tough one!

Re: We can beat the Saints...

The Saints play to the level of their competition. They've had close games against the Vikings, whiners, Falcons, Panthers(!), Cowboys and Bengals, and then big losses to the Cards and Browns. That's a lot of games for the defending super bowl champs. Yes, the competition gets up to play the defending champs, but still...

2/3 of their games have been close, or big losses, and I can absolutely see an up and coming, now scrappy Rams team do it again. The Saints know they need to win out to have any chance at passing the Falcons for NFC homefield, but given their propensity to play down to their opponent, I like our chances as long as we keep it close. And that's the key, keeping it close. I DON'T want us to get to a big lead, for two reasons. One, our OC tends to button up and force the run when we get up. I want him desperate to get points on the board and to let Bradford control the game. Second, I want it close so that NO has to keep running the ball to keep us honest. Our pass defense is our weak spot, and so if we force Brees to air it out constantly, he'll bring the Saints back, just like Orton did last week.

So, if we can keep it within a one possession game until the end, I think we stand a very good chance at blowing the doors off the league and winning three in a row on the road. Who would have seen that coming in July?!?!
    I believe!

Saints had their hands full with Bengals and Chiefs with Denver. I like our chances for the next two weeks! I say we clinch at home vs whiners!

I think the best thing that we HAVE to do next week, is control the ball with long time-consuming drives. Tire out the defense and get Brees and their offense out of momentum.

Sorry guys, I can see Brees picking the defense apart. Unfortunately for the Rams, Brees has been playing much better lately. I see the Rams losing this one by 10.

Re: We can beat the Saints...

we scared the crap out of them last year...since then they have dropped down a gear and we have moved up a couple.

there`s nobody in the NFL that i would say the 2010 edition of the Rams have no chance of beating..no matter where we played them..so why not?

we will be underdogs for sure..but it`s far from a mismatch.
