Are we going to be this years Patriots?
Every year we see the Patriots move up and down the draft, to maneuver themselves into a position to get the most amount of picks and the players that they really want. This year we have 4 picks in the top 40, and two 1st rounders for the next 2 years. Does anyone else see us using these picks to move around the draft? Or do people think that we are just going to sit and take the most amount of players possible

Hopefully, we're this decade's Patriots.

WITHOUT the cheating. I want our wins to be earned and desrved, like GSOT era. Not a deal where the officials look the other way while the OL mugs the DL , or the DBs mug the recivers, or put a dress on Sam Bradford by flagging any defenders that gets near him, or the league burns our video tapes of the other teams' walk-throughs.

Re: Are we going to be this years Patriots?
I would hope we can be smart with the picks and parlay them into more. The difference is we have a lot of holes and the Pats don't. But yeah if we can use one of our two first round picks next year and move back to get more 2nd and 3rd Rd picks that works, as long as we hit on the later Rd picks.

Dr.D - do we really have 4? I thought #s 6, 33 and 39,
(although, I hope you're right).

Rams could easily move down from #6 and gain another 2nd or 3rd. I wouldn't hesitate either with Richardson, Blackmon and Tannill (sp) on the board, somebody will jump up.

Re: Are we going to be this years Patriots?
The Rams now have a little ammunition, to make a few moves in the next three years. I do like the idea of dropping back and picking up additional picks. Or the Rams could use the picks as ammunition to move up if they fall in love with someone. I feel the new Rams FO, will be much more likely to have the confidence in themselves, to attempt such a thing. So I believe it's something definitely worth keeping your eye on, in the future.?

You know what would be really awesome? Lets just say the Redskins aren't that good. I think we can all agree on that. Now they add RG3 and he has some growing pains... It's not totally unrealistic for us to have the #1 pick again next year.
Then we trade it to Cleveland since they decided to bank on next year and Barkley.

Re: Are we going to be this years Patriots?
Same thing I was thinking. Hopefully Miami, KC, or Seattle feel the need to trade with us just to ensure landing Ryan Tannehill. That way we drop a few more spots, pick up an extra 2, 3, and 5 this year, with an extra 2 next year.
Of course I'd only slide down again if neither Blackmon nor Claiborne are there. If they are, I stay put and snag em. If not, I slide down again to possibly KC's spot (#11) pick up a 2012 2nd rounder, 3rd rounder, and 5th rounder, and in 2013 a 2nd rounder, and still grab the guy we want. Whether that be Fletcher Cox, Michael brockers, Michael Floyd, Dre' Kirkpatrick, or whoever.
