We need to get somebody. Loosing Avery is a HUGE blow. HUGE....

He is by far our most productive receiver..... Sam is already going to have a rough season... without Avery it could get bad really fast....

If Vincent Jackson is available i hope they get him and protect there 50 million dollar investment....

We need a WR and a Vet like Jackson would help Sam grow.....

I actually have high hopes for Danny Amendola to come in and play Avery's roll really well. But yes, one, maybe two receivers are needed

Paying big money for a guy who is holding out for big money is how the skins operate not how the Rams should. The Chargers have built a consistent condender from acquiring young talent and hopefully the Rams will use that blue print not the one that some of the fans feel is the best for the team.

I was very impress with the Rams today it gives me some hope that this season will be fun to watch.

^ THIS. With 3 receivers getting 50 yards each in one half of play, I'd think the Rams would drive opposing D's nuts.

I would hold off on thinking about needing a high price wr .... can think of a couple of wr out of oregon state and as rookies made some noise ... cinn's ochocinco and houshmandzadeh... rams rookie wr mardy g. reminds me a bit of the two...

in fact the similarities are interesting... these two came on the scene when cinn qb palmer was also beginning at cinn... just like bradford

real successful qb/wr combos are built on developing communications and closely understanding each other... when they break up for whatever reason... one or both seem to be less after....

I remember reading when cinn was a contender... before palmer injury against pitt in playoffs... that palmer and ochocinco would travel and watch games of other teams with good combos... such as the colts... just to watch and see the little things and compare notes

Danny Amendola SHOULD NOT BE MOVED FROM SLOT.

He has found a home there and is doing a decent job.

Robinson will play the #1 WR role, and 3 guys (Gilyard, Gibson, Alexander) will compete leaving Danny in the slot.

Avery actually looked like he turned the corner into a legit starter.


Now we have to think more about D.Jax.

people seem to have forgotten that gibson was one of the few bright spots on the offense last year..i think he will step up and play good football for us again, he's been injured so he might need to get back into a rhythm but he made some nice plays last night.

Agreed! VJax is known for low character and not a good guy for our young WR core to be around.

We have some decent guys. Lets run, use our TE's and have WR's the get open.

I see no reason why the offense can't take a huge step forward with the current personell.

I meant more of that "speed" role. The guy who can stretch the field. I think Danny Boy would play that role great. He does play great in the slot and I hope he stays there. But when we need to stretch the field, send in Danny Boy

I agree. Laurent Robinson and Brandon Gibson on the outside looks to be a good WR duo for now. With Danny in the slot stretching the field.

Also having Hoomanawanui and Onobun will help because both can catch especially Onobun....you see that 33 yard reception he had yesterday? Boy hes fast and thats a great mismatch. Hes too fast for a Linebacker but too strong for a Corner.
