We now have the 5th pick!

Looking at the teams with worse records then the Skins.

    1.) Jacksonville Jaguars 2-9-0
    2.) Houston Texans 2-9-0
    3.) Atlanta Falcons 2-9-0
    4.) Minnesota Vikings 2-8-1

My guess is the Houston, Atlanta and Minnesota will win a couple of games. The Skins are in free fall mode.

Skins play the Giants twice and they are in a late run for the playoffs. They play the Chiefs and the Cowboys not easy. They also play the Falcons, this is huge a loss here is a win for a team that is in front of them for the fist pick overall. Minnesota has that half game could be a factor.

I hope they don't make a QB change anytime soon.

So, for those keeping score, its:

    Michael Brockers
    Janoris Jenkins
    Isaiah Pead
    Rokevious Watkins (RELEASED)
    Alec Ogletree
    Stedman Bailey
    Zac Stacy
2014 First Round Pick (currently #5)

    for

2012 First Round Pick (used by Redskins to select Robert Griffin, III)
2013 Sixth Round Pick (used by Raiders to select Mychal Rivera)

Skins next two games are at home and then they have three road games to finish.

Man I'm loving it. I would be ecstatic with a top 2 pick. Trade down with a QB needy team to around 9 or 10, pick up a 1st and some change, and grab a guy that could still make a big impact.

This is Snead's genius plan. Get 2nd pick again, wait for Mariota to be talked up as the next best thing, auction off pick before draft for future 1st round picks, wait for that team to inevitably struggle, get high draft pick, repeat. He's unlocked the cheat code for infinite extra first round draft picks!

Ok so maybe not, but either way this is turning into quite the trove of good players.

If he can pull that off, it'll be remarkable. I'm definitely interested to see what we do with next year's draft. I think it could potentially "complete" the defense, at the very least.

I'd be insanely happy if Jake Matthews is available when we pick. Barksdale can be the best swing tackle in the NFL for all I care, but Matthews is on a whole other level.

If Matthews and Clowney are gone then a trade down for more draft picks, even picking up a 1st next year in addition to a 1st this year, would be amazing. There are still a lot of areas to address for this young team and more draft picks will help us out a lot.

Living in DC, I hear people talk about that their team sucks and to make it worse, that they can't look forward to the draft because "The Rams get to build a franchise and we get to suffer".... I lol'd

Yeah, in the DC metro area here too. I remember hearing about how the Skin's fleeced the Rams last year. Not hearing that too much anymore, lol.

Personally I'd love to see Barr fall to us at #5. Him and Ogletree on the outside would be the most athletic OLB duo we've ever had, and those two guys with Lauranitis would make a potentially great LB corps. Get a OT or S with our second pick, and then pick best available for depth after that.

The draft should be fun this year. Of course, it will probably be guys I've never heard of again. but they've hit on far more picks than the previous regimes, so I'm willing to give Snead and co the benefit of the doubt.

Read the thread about drafting a LB and Barr is probably only one I would go for early! Being a UCLA fan I have enjoyed watching him play the last couple years. He is a monster excellent tackler and can get after the QB also. Not too sure how much I like his cover skills but the rest of his game is top notch! Good call, IMHO he would look great in horns.

Even if considering it as hindsight, we can't say that the Rams weren't planning their next draft well!

The RG3 trade keeps getting better and better for us.
Do the rams take Clowney if he's on the board is a crazy scenario that will be debated a great deal in the offseason.
