Are we a playoff team in 2013?
On this board not sure anyone thought we where going to make the playoffs. Next year how will your exceptions change? We have played all three teams in the west beating two and going toe to toe with the best. We have lost two or three games we could have won if we played like a team that has been there before.
We have two first round picks and cap space to add one or two elite players in FA.

Re: Are we a playoff team in 2013?
Watching the Rams this season, I finally feel as though they're just "a few players away."
With the combination of cap room and high draft picks, the Rams should be able to obtain 5-6 new starter-quality players this offseason. If they find 2-3 true "impact" guys, I think this team will be ready to challenge for the division title next year.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Are we a playoff team in 2013?
The Rams need impact players, 2-3 of them. Safety and OLB are two key areas where they would become a premier defense with impact players at those positions. RT and being healthy would make the offense solid.

Re: Are we a playoff team in 2013?
I voted yes as well.
I have read where some think the Rams are still a few years away, that sounded too long. Wanted to get feel for what the Clan thinks.

I really think so. 2nd year under Fisher and his system. High draft picks etc.....
Actually we are not that far off right now.

Re: Are we a playoff team in 2013?
I voted no....for now.
While we will have a lot of draft picks, they still have to be impact performers their rookie years for us to be contenders. Pead and Quick and Rok will have to step it up toward the end of this year to show signs that they are ready to perform at a high level.
In short, we need 80% of our draft picks next year to turn out really well for us, and have 2-3 impact performers out of that group.
Keep in mind that the rest of our division is on the rise too so they can be just like us if they have successful drafts filling in their holes.
If we go out and get some free agency proven talent at Wr, Oline, and maybe Safety, we have a good chance for the playoffs.
A lot has to line up just right in our Current players development, draft picks and free agency for us to really compete.

Re: Are we a playoff team in 2013?
Too early to say without knowing what new players the Rams get and who may leave for whatever reason. They certainly should improve even more I would think. We need to see the schedule also. My expectations were that it would take 2 or 3 years for the new coaching staff to deliver a playoff team.

Re: Are we a playoff team in 2013?
If we get
1. either Joeckel or Lewan
2. Sign one of Wallace, Jennings, Bowe
3. Draft Teo or eifert
and obviously our rookies from this year develop I think we have a great shot of making the playoffs.

I voted yes on the premise of signing Wallace, Bowe or Jennings.

Re: Are we a playoff team in 2013?
Although we clearly need to add a few impact players, our current players will also have a year under the Jeff Fisher system under their belt and more experience with each other so communication becomes easier. Plus we'll have a complete understanding that games CAN end in a tie (kidding about that).
I firmly believe that we will contend for bigger and better things next year. The key issue as always will be to stay relatively injury free. To backstop that we'll need to have a solid group of back-ups on the roster or practice squad.
Still enjoying this year. Go Rams!

Re: Are we a playoff team in 2013?
The lions, dolphins and ****** all know they should've gotten a loss against us. With that said, this team should already be playoff bound. Next years free agency and draft will make us scary everywhere and Fishers second year with the young Rams will be fun to watch.

More bodies on defense (smart bodies).
Keep Schottenheimer. I'm getting excited about him now.
Then hell yeah.Patient, not saintly.

Re: Are we a playoff team in 2013?
Grab another WR in FA that can take away a ton of attention, and he and Amendola will both have 1,000 yard seasons. Let DRICH, SJ, and Pead pound the rock away. Get Kendricks more involved. Grab a S and OLB and go to work.
I'd actually say (If the Bills let him walk) go and sign OG Andy Levitre. He's been OUTSTANDING and would solidify our o-line. That way we could spend 1 pick on a OT (Lewin, Joeckel, Matthews) and take a OLB/S/Pass rusher/TE with our other first.
THE DREAM TEAM
