We still need a wr....... Clayton?? Come on...

Marc Clayton is basically washed up... So they were going to probably release him and we gave them a 2nd round pick.. Crazy....

I just can't stand it when a organization pays a guys 50 million dollars but wont spend a couple million to get a quality wide WR to help protect him.

If week 6 comes and Bradford is injured I will blame this organization and the management of this team.

Stan needs to pry his old hands off his pocket book and write a few checks.

Name the available receiver and explain why he would come here over a team that might win the Superbowl.

The Rams did not trade a second round pick for Clayton. They gave Baltimore a sixth round pick, and got both Clayton and a seventh round pick in return. So they didn't even lose a pick; they just swapped their sixth rounder for a seventh rounder and Clayton.

A second round pick would have been crazy - had it actually happened.

Good call, I didn't even catch that part.

I'm not sure how a WR would prevent him from getting injured. Maybe a lesser receiver would drop him when he tried to hop on their back after a touchdown?

Uh, what? The guy has been in the league, what? Five years? ...and he's washed up? Really?

Your facts about the trade are wrong, and your statement that an injury to Bradford would be because we didn't have a great WR? ...what?

    Did I miss something?

Maybe he thought we traded for this guy:

He probably is washed up at this point.

I don't understand the hate for the Clayton trade that basically amounts to 'we shouldn't have gone after Clayton, we should have gone after <insert name here>.' What would prevent the Rams from going after multiple WR? Is there some obscure trade quota that I'm unaware of that says we can only trade or sign 1 WR per month, so now we're precluded from looking at any other WR in the league? If you want to argue that trading for Clayton was only a marginal improvement, then fine. But a marginal improvement is better than no improvement, so why the hate?

Let's face it, we took the Raven's GM out to lunch at Red Lobster and traded one crappy pick for another crappy pick. Doesn't sound like we've got much invested.

Besides, Clayton is the best blocking WR in the league, so he should offer plenty of protection for Bradford.
