I choose Culberson, inexperience & I don't think he will ever be starter material

Re: The Weakest Link in "D's" front seven?
I went MLB. That position is supposed to be the heart and soul of your defense. If you don't have a playmaker manning the middle your defense isn't going to look that good IMHO. Man I wonder who I want to draft on the 25th???

Re: The Weakest Link in "D's" front seven?
culberson did show potential a few years back, he is still young and spags should help him alot. i dont think its necessarily him.
besides spoon, i can look at that list and struggle to find a strong link.

Re: The Weakest Link in "D's" front seven?
Other than Witherspoon, Draft is the best player on the list at this point. Carriker, Ryan, Culberson, Long - have all done very little at this point in their careers to indicate they are going to be pillars in the rotation. Little can barely stay on the field ...
Draft is a great special teams player, can play all LB positions, and has always been productive when he is on the field. How he is getting so many votes is beyond me ...

I think Long and Witherspoon are the only two that aren't weak. I feel like every other position mentioned needs to be either upgraded or have better play by the people in that position.

Re: The Weakest Link in "D's" front seven?
Agreed, I really don't see how one could vote Draft. It's one thing to argue that we need a MLB upgrade, but that doesn't automatically make him the weakest of the list. He's not even the weakest of his unit (Culberson) let alone weakest in the entire front seven IMO.
My vote would either go to Culberson or Ryan.

Re: The Weakest Link in "D's" front seven?
No love for Chris Draft? He may be in the twilight of his career, but I'd still take him over Culberson. When Draft played for the Panthers, he had to fill in at MLB for an injured Dan Morgan, and didn't miss a beat. I think he may have won a team award for his performance (2006). I think R-Infiniti summed things up well in his post. Witherspoon is the top guy in our front seven, but the rest??? .. (L. Little -age, Ryan/Carriker -what have they done? Long - a work in progress; The jury is still out. I'd have to go with Culberson at this point, but it's a good question - one we'll likely get the answer to from Billy and Spags once camp starts ..

Re: The Weakest Link in "D's" front seven?
The weakest link in the Rams' front seven is Leonard Little, and this is not due to any issues regarding a lack of talent; but moreso because since he is very injury-prone (at least as of late) that whoever we trot out to replace him invariably fails to generate any semblance of a pass rush. Therefore when (note 'when', not 'if') Little goes down so does what's left of our pass rush.
And, after that, the defense cannot get off the field and begins to wear down. This also effects our ability to stop the run as the defense gets beat down and begins to crumble.
WHAT SAY YE?

Out of that list, I'd say Culberson, but I think Pisa may be currently slated as the starting strongside linebacker anyway. After that, I'd have to say Ryan or Carriker.

Re: The Weakest Link in "D's" front seven?
I voted for the nose tackle/tackle/defensive end/possible tight end Carriker. Too light to play nose. Too slow to play DE.
Patient, not saintly.

I say it's time to replace Little. Perfect 2nd round pick would be Michael Johnson Georgia Tech....

Re: The Weakest Link in "D's" front seven?
I voted for Culberson because he is the weakest in that group, but Pisa is the starter at SLB. If Pisa was at SLB I would probably vote Little or Ryan. Little has become injury prone he is definately a liability against the run and i'm not sure what he has left in the tank as a pass rusher at 34
