Week 2: Rams Report Card
09/18/2005
Grading the Rams after their 17-12 victory at Arizona:
Quarterback:
Marc Bulger wasn't bad but didn't seem in sync, like he was at end of preseason.
Grade: B minus
Running back:
Steven Jackson nearly got 100 yards, displaying power, speed and nifty footwork.
Grade: B
Receivers:
Torry Holt, Kevin Curtis got separated from the ball early; Isaac Bruce was the most consistent.
Grade: C
Offensive line:
Marc Bulger could have avoided a couple of the Big Red's four sacks; good run blocking.
Grade: B minus
Defensive line:
Ryan Pickett and Jimmy Kennedy were a handful; Leonard Little got some face time with Kurt Warner.
Grade: B +
Linebackers:
Another good outing; Pisa Tinoisamoa was active; Chris Claiborne was strong on run support.
Grade: B
Secondary:
Injuries and illness forced this group to gut it out all day.
Grade: B
Special teams:
An impressive comeback from last week, particularly punter Reggie Hodges and the coverage units.
Grade: B
Coaching
Way too conservative on defense, and it almost cost them at the end.
Grade: C minus
