Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has agreed to take the same position with the St. Louis Rams, league sources said Monday.
Williams is informing both teams of his decision.Williams served as defensive coordinator for recently hired Rams coach Jeff Fisher with the Tennessee Titans from 1997 to 2000.Former Jacksonville Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio could be a candidate to replace Williams in New Orleans.Former New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has been offered the Rams' offensive coordinator job and will accept it, a league source told NFL Network's Michael Lombardi on Sunday.

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
Well that works haha, thanks. And I'm happy with the hire.
Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
I like Gregg Williams, but I hope he learned his lesson the other day. DOUBLE VERNON DAVIS!!!!!
Re: Fisher has his staff in place: Gregg Williams agrees to join Fishers staff
While Rams COO Kevin Demoff expects a decision from Fisher in the next several days, the search for a GM will be a longer process.
"The GM, you can't steal from other staffs for a GM until after the draft so you can't hire anyone," Demoff said. "So the GM one, to me can linger a little bit longer.
The above quote came from an old article on the Rams' website, regarding the GM search/interview process.
I've read it ten times, and still don't understand it. Anyone?

Does not make any sense to me either.

Haha, either he was misquoted or I just don't know what that means

Even though I completely agree with you, what was he supposed to say? "Gregg Williams is trash, fat white dude couldn't teach worth crap, we're the ones who made him look good" :D
I love the hiring, perfect fit. Lets get this thing rolling. Top 10 D, Top 15 O, and tough hard nosed team? Playoffs here we come baby! Every year theres some worst to first.
Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
I wonder who or whom Williams will get to come over to our team?
Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
As a Rams fan, loving football life was been made much easier since Jeff Fisher showed up :)
Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
Wow! I'm really excited about this!
If Roman Harper can be a stud in Williams' system, I can only imagine what Mikell will do. Just one of the many things to be exited about...

That and I have a good feeling about Darien Stewart!

Both Stewart and Mikell are very good blitzers so I can see both of them being very good fits in this system. Williams likes to have 1 play in the box and have the other cover the TE. I'd go with Stewart 1v1 and Mikell in the box, though both are interchangeable.
We're going to need a run stuffing NT (Saints' Aubrayo Franklin maybe) and an athletic LB (Jabara Williams would have been perfect).

No I'm not saying the quote should confirm he's a great coach haha. I was saying the quote confirmed Williams was coming here, though I think GWill is a great coach.
