Fisher has his staff in place: Gregg Williams agrees to join Fishers staff
Per Jason LaCanfora
Words cannot describe how excited I am right now for tomorrows press conference and next season in general.Gregg Williams has agreed to join Jeff Fisher's staff, leaving as the Saints D Coordinator for the Rams #insideslant
I wonder if Schottenheimer and Williams will be present at tomorrows presser.

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
This is controversial to some Rams fans, but if you've seen the 1999 Titans with Williams under Fisher, he's got a good resume under there. Plus I think this system is also more suited for the talent we have. I'm cautiously optimistic about this hire.

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
I just looked up the stats of the last season Williams was DC under Fisher.
The defense...
Only allowed 1390 rushing yards. (86.8 per game)
Only allowed 2423 passing yards. (151.4 per game)
They had 55 sacks and 17 interceptions.
Now those are some numbers to sink your teeth into. : )

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
Very good news. I don't feel as bad about losing Spag's defensive schemes now, since the Saints dial up just as many of creative blitzes as Spags did. Should be an easy adjustment for our defense.

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
This hire is not about what he did with the Saints defense as much as it is about the Titans defense with Williams and Fisher. I just don't see Fisher letting him run this high risk blitz scheme but more what they built with the Titans. Now go get one of the best D line coaches Jim Washburn,
I don't know about how you guys feel, but Fisher seems like he's all business!
