Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
Im certainly not going to complain either, about the recent hires by Fisher. Its definitely a marked improvement, over some of the recent coaches who worked here. People should be careful what they wish for, when thinking about the Rams. Their isn't a lot of coaches out there chomping at the bit, to come to St.Louis. So I for one, am counting myself very lucky, that some of the better OC's now view the Rams as a viable place to coach now. Im really looking forward to seeing how Fisher's style, will mesh with the new guys.?

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
I like the speed and decisiveness with which the coordinator jobs have been filled with some experienced operators.
And lets not forget that Williams wouldn't come over if he didn't think he had something to work with.
With Long, Quinn and Laurinaitis he has something to work with.
Interesting times.

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
He is on the staff and that is that. He has my support and I hope he brings our defense to the next level. We have some good pieces so he has a good start already.

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
The same creed as Mike Martz. Send bodies. The tastefully named Gregg Williams will win games with his defense, but he will lose some too.
Live by the sword....
P.S. give up the visor and the permed hair thing. So 80's.Patient, not saintly.

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
Though Fisher didn't officially announce the hire at his press conference, and just said they are looking at some great candidates, Sean Payton confirmed as much at his season ending presser:
Payton confirmed that Gregg Williams has accepted a position with the Rams.Quotes via Saints official twitter.Payton said Gregg Williams made the decision to leave on his own and wanted to work with his mentor, Jeff Fisher. "That's the profession."

Re: Welcome Gregg Williams!
As anticipated and now confirmed, this is very good news to bring GW to the Rams D.
Check one more excellent building phase on the early 2012 Rams To Do list!
