I wouldn't consider Mike Fanning much of a "hit" at all, and certainly would not put him anywhere near the same category as a man like Merlin Olsen.

Heck, Merlin's little brother, Phil, was probably better than Mike Fanning.

BTW there are several great D-Tackles you left off such as, Diron Talbert, Rosie Grier and Larry Brooks. Yep, those were the days when the Rams' D-line could wreak havoc all game long.
