Wet, Bored but Safe

Hey all.

Well, Hurricane Frances has moved on. We had a weekend inside the house as the wind howled, the rain fell, and we were a bit bored. Otherwise everything's fine... as long as Hurricane Ivan doesn't decide to hit us next week!

Bored can be good. Glad to hear all is well.

My parents winter down in Florida most years and they are happy to have their fifth wheel out of the state at the moment. Florida is getting beat up by the hurricanes this year. And now Ivan is on the move.

Could be worse... at least we don't have blizzards or earthquakes here.

My two kids live in Valrico, Florida with my ex. It's about 30 minutes east of Tampa. They called me this morning and all is well. They've gotten off pretty easy during Charlie and Frances. Of course, I've been on pins and needles through both. Avenger, whereabouts are you?

They've been without power since Sunday morning. They played "Who's line is it anyway?" a couple times since then. Avengerman, I'm trying to picture you doing some impromptu singing...care to sing us a line or two? I'm sure it would be great!

I believe Charlie was a category 4 and Frances was a category 1. Ivan looks like it might get to a category 4.
This has to be the biggest hurricane season in a long time. Any idea when Ivan is expected to hit?

I know what your going through Avenger,hopefully Ivan wont disrupt my satilite from watching the game this weekened .It was still windy here this

I'm in Weston, which is a suburb pretty much due West of Fort Lauderdale (and about 1 1/2 hours from Naples, accross Alligator Alley).

We'll probably know where Ivan's headed late in the week. Here's hoping it turns North and heads out to sea.
