Re: What was the biggest factor in your becoming a Rams fan?
My vote was for other, just like big-blue. I was actually born in whiteman air force base in Missouri. Didn't become a fan until they moved to St.Louis, But the thing that kept me a fan was that I really had a connection to the players. So Mine is just partially location, but primarily the players themselves.

The Uniform -
I was eight years old, and my grandfather said, " You can stay and watch football with the guys, but you have to keep your mouth shut". It was a huge moment of my childhood being able to finally be old enough to watch football with him and my uncle. It was a Ram playoff game against the Vikings. My uncle was a huge Vikings fan, but I didn't know it. My grandfather asked me during the kickoff which team was I going to root for. I told him I liked the blue team and the helmets....... history !!!!

Re: What was the biggest factor in your becoming a Rams fan?
I was in elementary school and the nearest high school (2 blocks away) was Banning and it just happened to be that the Rams had a quarterback that played for that same school and went on to lead the Rams to the superbowl.
You guessed it Vince Ferragamo! All of us kids on the playground wanted to be him and lead our team to the superbowl. Either you were Vince or Preston.
So as long as I can remember I've been a Ram fan.Last edited by LA Rammer; -05-23-2007 at 02:49 AM. Reason: Makes more sense now and oh that is "Anaheim" sorry.

Re: What was the biggest factor in your becoming a Rams fan?
Well, this is stupid but true. I was 12 and a man was moving in two doors down from me and asked me to help him and his wife move his and her couch, even though he was 26 or 27, we hit it off and became friends, mostly cuz he didnt know anybody around my town. He would mow LA RAMS in his front lawn and I thought it was so cool, but I didnt watch football. After about a year of us hanging out, the Rams were losing bad to the Bucs 27 to 3 and we bet that if the Rams come back to win, I had to watch or listen to every rams game for the rest of the year. They won needless to say,and for some people it's heroin, cocaine, or alcohol, but for me it was the Rams and I got hooked.

Re: What was the biggest factor in your becoming a Rams fan?
I am voting location, even though I am not from L.A. or STL. Spent most of my young life a couple hours north of L.A., around the Fresno area. The local TV / radio station played all the RAMS / LAKERS / DODGERS games, so that's how I started following them.

when i was 6 years old , i would go to my friends house , 9 children and 2 parents watching college football on saturday , and pro-ball on sunday's . their family was big into viking's - dolphins - raiders - cowboy's at the time . the youngest girl , 5-6 years older then me , was rooting for the rams , i saw them playing the vikings to a defensive battle , saw the helmet's , and right then , i was a lifelong fan , never wavered , and never jumped to another team like many people do when it's conveinient . they could go 0-16 for 10 years , and they would be my team .

Re: What was the biggest factor in your becoming a Rams fan?
Family, family, family. My grandfather and mom are big time Ram fans so that is all I knew when I was little. Since then I have surpassed my mom but I don't think I will ever surpass my grandfather.
