Question What do you do to pass time in the offseason?

I specifically am curious about this time of year, between the draft and opening of training camp. The anticipation gets me every year.

To help the time fly, I manage an Old Time Strat League baseball team. 16 teams from all over, started with the 1960 players, going head-to-head NetPlay using the Strat-O-Matic game format. We're currently drafting our 1962 roster, we keep a maximum of 20 players from the previous season. It's a great deal of fun and I learn a heck of a lot about guys I've never heard of such as Vada Pinson.

I am considering getting involved in the Football version with some old seasons. Can you imagine having Decon Jones on your team.

If you don't know about this game, your missing out. Fantasy football and baseball pale by comparison.

So, what do you do to pass the time in the offseason?

I drink a lot of beer, go sailing, and have fun with some ladies. Not a bad life to be honest.

What do I do to pass time in the offseason?

...same things I do during the "on" season, except watch football of course. I'm in So Cal, so weather is never a factor, no matter what time of year it is, except snow skiing this time of year sucks, so I have to replace it with water skiing or jet skis. I go bike riding along the beach, go out to dinner when I feel like it, play lots of golf, and ride my Harley on the weekends mostly. I also have access to a place at the (Colorado) river so I venture out there when I'm in the mood and take out the dune-buggy, fish, target shoot or just hang out and do nothin'. I guess what I'm saying is there is no "offseason" for me. Something is always "on". Football and the Rams are just a part of my life. Hockey and baseball are my other favorite spectator sports, and I just finished totally enjoying watching my Ducks win the Stanley Cup, and I'm looking forward to my Angels winning the West and moving on to the World Series. Oh, and of course, I squeeze in work when I can....

It sucks, but someone has to do it.

This is my heavy running, workout time of year getting ready to play some ball come the fall. I Play Sunday mornings with a group of guys from highschool, and am putting a team in the local indoor flag fottball league, after a year off. After my working obligations of course.

I will say I am, THE ONLY, runner in Maine with an Isaac Bruce jersey doing laps around the boulevard.
Lot's of paddling around in my kayak fishing on weekends with a cold one ( or two ?? ) rounds out the week.

This isn't the time to pass the time...we don't have the time! Gas, on the other hand, can be passed anytime.
