What do you rate the defense?

I personally give the Defense a B- after this game because they allowed some big yards today. In my opinion the defense only allowed 21 points to an explosive offense. They proved that they can slow down top offenses in back to back weeks.

What do you guys rate them?

work in progress. certainly an improvement since week 1. I noticed our defense got better as the game went on giving up one td in the entire second half. we have the ability to be physical. can't wait to humble the dirty whiners. We need Brockers and Dahl. Week 1 D Week 2 C+.

They made RGIII look like the rookie he is on many occasions. They once again bent, but didn't break. The offense this time was helping them out, but I would still give them a B. Overall the defense would probably be in the just above average range. We have some seeds planted for a real good defense later in the season and into next year.

WHen Brockers comes back i cant wait too see this defense to take another step up,we are lacking that push and run support along side of Kendall.But ill give them a solid B for right now they are still making plays and the tackling is light years improved from last season which in turn leads for less yards and big plays.

As already mentioned above, Brockers, other improvements could very well bring it to a real B.

I'd give us a C or C+. We miss too many tackles. It seems that we lose focus on occassion. I think opposing teams are beginning to respect our D. But I don't think anyone fears it yet.

I, too, would give us about a C+ and totally agree with you about missed tackles. Our corners are sloppy and Jenkins is by far the worst offender when it comes to poor tackling- sloppy, flying up on run support and not breaking down. You have to wrap- that's football 101.

Run defense is decent at times and poor at others. It's obvious Brockers is missed. And only 1 sack yesterday- I know RG III is an elusive guy, but gotta get a couple more sacks.They DID pressure him fiercely for much of the day, so credit them for that.

As LARammer said a few posts earlier, the defense is a work in progress. I'm confident it will continue to get better.

I'd give them a C+ after two games. Losing grade points for the occasional breakdowns and easy catches (Jenkins), still giving up too many yards on the ground mainly due to poor angles and bad gap discipline by the LB's. I'm not concerned about only getting one sack on RGIII yesterday. Good pressure and forcing the QB to throw before he wants to is every bit as importanat as a take-down. The Rams did that most of the day. Long, despite getting double teamed on nearly every play was really taking it to the RT. Quinn is learning, and will only get better as his technique improves. When the Rams get Brockers back, watch out.

This defense will be top 10 in scoring allowed before the end of the year, barring major injuries.SL

Also, I'm sure I see a different attiitude on the defense now. They're definitely taking on Fisher's personality.
