Out of all thses games the Eagles would be our pressure point. Redskins off a loss vs the Giants have great chance for a "W" against the Giants a team which quite frankly has serious issues.

Saints want that first round bye. So aside from the Redskins coming off with a "W", Eagles vs. Falcons is our clutch game.

Excitingly all games are 10 am Pacific time start. The season comes down to this...

One of my friends told me that the Packers would also be ahead of the Rams if they win against the Bears next week. I know us beating them constitutes a tie-break over them but don't you remember back in the 2004 season the Saints bet us the second game of the year and we both finished 8-8 but we got the final spot over them? Since the Packers have a better confrence record than us does that come into play or what? Someone straighten this out for me please. Thanks.

Your friend is wrong head to head is always the first tie breaker. The Packers are a non-issue for the Rams. We need to win and for the Giants,Falcons and Panthers to lose and we are in! Rams@Cowboys in round 1 sounds nice.

Good point. In 2004, we had three 8-8 teams vying for two wild card spots. Philly wins all tie-breakers even if they go 8-8, so the whole thing plays out differently.

The Rams lose almost all of the tie-breakers this year, so if the Giants or Panthers tie us at 8-8, we're out anyway. However, if we are tied with the Packers and only the Packers, then we win by virtue of the Head-to-Head. If we are in a three-way tie with the Packers and Falcons then the Packers would get in by virtue of a better conference record. My scenario has the Falcons losing. I could amend it and say if we CLOBBER the Vikes by a huge margin we could win a tie breaker with the Falcs IF the Packers lose. I will make that modification now.

This is what I've heard as well. The only way you can use head to head is if all the tied teams have played head to head against each other. So if there are four teams tied at 8-8, you can't go by head to head unless all four have played each other.

Washington at home (Off a lose they want a win BAD)
New Orleans at home (They want a first week bye)
Philadelphia at home (They want the division)
Just give the Packers the win because Chicago has nothing to play for.

Thanks for clearing that up. Another thing to note is that in 2004 when we needed the Redskins to help us out and beat Minnesota, they did and upset them. Let's hope they do the same for us again this year!
