What i really want .... :@
is PAT SHURMERS HEAD ON A STICK! ....holy crap ya its preseason but let the players PLAY man ...how are the rookies gunna find their comfort zone and timing in real game action if u dont open up playcalling!!! this is so frustrating.... Bradford to me didnt even play that game unless they were makin him perfect handoffs and check down passes... the preseason is for exploration , devlopment of players.... hows he ever gunna get comfortable with his WRS Rbs and TEs, let him make dumbass mistakes

No excuse for them to not let Bradford make more difficult passes next week.
Maybe they were concerned about the O-line protecting him or something... they did give up 4 sacks on him last week... looked a bit better tonight.
But yes, I really hope they let him sling some around next week. I'd rather see him go out there and make a ton of mistakes next week than for it to have to come around during the regular season.

At least let him stay in shotgun and let him air it out some. He works best when in shotgun. Why not just let him stay in shotgun and work his magic?

Just for the record, my signature has been there since last season.
I do not like Shurmur. At all. I want him gone as much as you do.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

Re: What i really want .... :@
Is there historical precedent for sacking the offensive coordinator in the preseason?
Of course Team Devaney could be keeping him around in some Machiavellian plot as a convenient scapegoat for the end of the season.

Last year was a good indication of the talent that Pat shows as an offensive coordinator, and yes- it's truly offensive.
He may have seemed fine in Philadelphia, but it sure seems that the BYU Lavelll Edwards inspired, Holmgren trained Any Reid may have had a lot more to do with the Eagles success on offense than anything Shurmer was doing.

Id really rather them go full force in the regular season. Wins don't matter right now if they did we have already equaled last years total.

Remember, our best offensive player was out for all but one series. That hurts an offense. Ever seen a Colts offense without Manning? It's bad.

Except past history with Shurmur and this organization shows that when we don't go full force now, the offense doesn't start functioning at anything approaching a competent level until late September/early October. This franchise cannot afford to have that happen this season.

Re: What i really want .... :@
I always thought the playcalling was one of the things they were expected to dumb down in the preseason, which is why I look at individual performances instead of overall result. After Feeley was injured and the o-line heavily criticized from game 1, maybe he just wanted to make sure we don't end up starting Keith Null in the season opener.
