Re: At What NFL stadiums have you watched the Rams play

1989- Foxborough(now Gillette) stadium, Jim Everett,Cleveland Gary, Kevin Greene. Rams win, Patsies fans are just happy to have a team to go too.

2001 - Foxborough stadium, Greatest Shoe on Turf hits New England. Rams win 24-17, fans are yelling obsenities at Kurt's Mom. Kurt throws for 415 yards and the Patsies DB's are looking for their jock straps.(Ty Law WHO ??) Patsies fans are a low down bunch of loosers. I get my rear truck cap window, ( covered in Rams garb) smashed out after game.

Never again there - :tut

Olympic Stadium in Berlin, Germany. This was right after the Berlin Wall came down, 90 or 91. Jim Everett was the QB. I belive they played the Chief's, but my memory is fuzzy on that.

I won't type too much about myself so that I don't bore anybody. I just wanted to share my only Rams game experience(as horryfying as it is was). I went and watched that awful game last year where the Carolina Panthers beat the Rams. I loved seeing the team play, even though some of my key favorite players were out because of injuries at that time. It was a Sunday afternoon game, so by the end of the game, there was a large number of drunken Carolina fans who were being real jerks. There was one nice Carolina fan who let me wear his jacket even though I was cheering for the Rams! It was absolutely freezing that night. It would have been better to watch my team win, but I was just happy that they played a game that was a little closer to me!
Welcome aboard, ButterCup.

Re: At What NFL stadiums have you watched the Rams play

Only have been to Anaheim stadium to watch them........had season tickets for 8 or 9 years!...............have had the chance to go to St.Louis to the Edward Jones Dome but, nbever have!..................Tickets are available to me just about every game but, these days i enjoy watching them at home! I think you see more of the game on TV but, have to admit ,it's not as much fun as tailgating or being there live!

RT - How come only once at Anaheim? Had you moved out of the area?

I thought it was a great stadium for watching football.

Incidentally, thanks for the eye-opener. It was definitely thought-provoking :O , plus, you are responsible for me finding this site.

Thanks again.

Re: At What NFL stadiums have you watched the Rams play

I don't remember the year for sure, (I think 1977) Los Angeles Coliseum at the "Mud Bowl" for the NFC Championship. In those days the Coliseum would hold almost 100,000 people and the place was FULL!! I was attending the game with my first wife, and hoping to make her a Ram fan. She was not a football fan at the time, and what happened on that day proved to be a harbinger of things to come..... It started to rain right after we parked, and we were not prepared for rain. By the time we got into the coliseum and found our seats, we were close to being soaked. At the entrance I was able to purchase a cheap plastic umbrella, however the horse was already out of the barn so to speak. When the Rams took the field the entire place ERUPTED!! The noise was deafening and exhilarating!!! I will never forget that as long as I live...

The game commenced and the Vikes had the good sense to come out throwing while the field was still relatively sound. They scored the only touchdown of the game early on, before the field turned into a mud hole. I cannot remember the final score, but the Rams lost and adding insult to injury there was a group of extremely large women seated directly in front of us, and seemingly they took turns tilting back their umbrellas every few minutes while trying to find a comfortable spot on the hard seats, which resulted in a cascade of water being dumped into our laps each time.... Suffice it to say that my wife found nothing redeemable in her first and only football experience, and ever after resented my even watching football on tv.

My current wife of ten years holds a different view of football but it didn't start out that way...However, that is another story..........

First game 74' LA Coliseum, many games at the BIG A, the Murph aka Qualcomm (and Aug 20 ; come one come all)
2 at the Ed, ( Last year was fun @ the Bash except the out come of the game ). Atlanta both stadiums, the shtick, aka whatever the ******* call it now. Lovely Sun Devil Stadium :O .

I think that's it.

Re: At What NFL stadiums have you watched the Rams play

The L.A. Coliseum when it was home, for the '78 NFC Championship, and later when it was enemy Faider territory (horrible experiences with the worst fans in the world).

The Big A as a season ticket holder witnessing some highs and a lot of lows.

Sun Devil Stadium, which I used to walk into with an attitude.

The New Orleans Superdome twice, first for the MNF beer bottle bombardment game in '01, then the disaster that was SB 36 (thank goodness for Bourbon Street).
