i Haven't been watching Williams but, who in their right mind could pass up Bush?..................There hasn't been a more dominate player in years as i see it!

Angeles, i agree bush is a dominant guy, but unless he is going to help in the secondary or at linebacker, i dont see how he is incrementally going to improve our team more than a stud guy on defense. To say it another way, every touch bush get takes one away from steven jackson and i dont think we need an upgrade at that position. I hear you on bush though, he is truly a special talent.

Why assume Jackson will still be on the team I would trade him. He deserves a shot on a team that runs the power run game.

You're right, it's not just the players. But a large part of it is. In 2001, when the Rams had Lovie and they were actually a great defense, they also had pretty good personnel, at least better than we have right now.

i dont think we were a great defense in 2001. we played with big leads an awful lot and that helps any defense. a shut down corner like aeneas sure helped, but hardly a great defense.

Lovie didnt look very good to me in the carolina playoff loss with over 250 yards rushing allowed and no real adjustments in that game to help us. Not all his fault of course, but its the same old story for me. coaching helps at the margain, but talent is the key and our current talent on defense isnt very good at all and has not been for some time
