What was our Defensive gameplan yesterday?

A few weeks ago we played the Cardinals in Arizona.
Yes, we lost in OT on a human highlight play by Peterson.

In that game we held the Cardinals rushing attack to 70 yards on 17 attempts. Skelton actually accounted for 38 of those yards on 4 carries. Although Skeltons passing attack was okay it wasn't like he lit us up in that game (20-35, 222yds, 1 TD, 0 ints)

So yesterday we decided to slow down the vaunted Skelton passing attack and ignore their run game????

Well (s) it worked!!!! Skelton was an unimpressive 12-23, 114 yds, 0 TDs and 2 ints. I don't need to remind anyone of how Well (s) we defensed the run. I'll just say that we were slashed and gashed for 268 yards on 38 attempts!

So again I ask, shaking my head....what was the defensive game plan and who the heck put it together?????????

    Frustrated!

The Rams run defense has been horrible for years. This season is no different. From day one against the Eagles teams have been gaining big chunks at a time against us. We lack size and speed up front and our linebackers are undersized.

Wasn't Justin Bannan out during that game? It's obvious we're very thin at talent in the run defense department. It really goes to show how valuable he was against the run.

laram you should be use to it by now...Spags has his gameplan focuses on one part of the opposing team then gets burned then makes a bad decision in the 4th quarter and we lose the game

I heard Wisenhunt say after the game that it was very apparent that the rams defensive gameplan was to stop the passing game. Makes sense...
This team depresses me on a weekly basis

I think Spags has definitely caused himself not to be back next year by losing this game

You can read all about spags strategies in his new book,

i can't say, but(this might sound stupid) since I have Wells in a couple fantasty leagues, I know that he's been hurt for a few weeks. The difference might just have been him feeling better and Ariz giving him the ball more.

bull droppings. He set a franchise rushing record, a half-baked running back does not do that just because they feel better and get the ball more.
